Test? Yes locking shit behind a grind wall is a perfect test when we have already provided feedback that the grind mechanics are shit and is way to high. So lets lock even more shit behind the shitty grind mechanics without changing them so we can't test the new stuff to report it broken. And I do not believe we will gain this shit for free when the game comes out into Early Access, Helius has already lied about stuff and been dodgy before and he can't even keep is moderation staff in line even so no I do not believe it will change when Early access arrives he might even make it so we can buy Character bundles with the outfits we already paid for so we can pay for them again with real cash twice.
If the costumes would be available in early access the way they are now then there would be no difference between people that got the patreon bundles and those that didn't. So we can be certain that costume unlocking won't work this way in ea.
They way testing works is you need provide incentive for people to engage with the systems, yes that means people need to grind in order to unlock stuff and while grinding they will be testing. Like i've said before in this thread if you give people access to everything upfront for "Testing" they will binge consume it and leave. Then when you adjust shit you won't have people to test it because you got no incentive for them to come back.
As for grind- you are not testing grind even without feedback they knew the grind is too much that was by design. We need to wait and see how is the grind once we enter the early access and progress won't be wiped anymore.
There's no incentive to engage with the system now, the hundreds of hours of grind we need to commit to, to test animations and outfits will be wiped. Why would we waste hundreds of hours to grind just to test one thing and then progress will be wiped? For a product we have purchased. For something that we aren't even being compensated for?
Its been 2 months from release and there's been what one change to the system that you somehow gain likes offline through someone studying your experiment from what I saw and that seems broken and only seems to give 3-10 likes. Are the care packages being handed out that he promised he would do each week? Because I never received my new years care package with a handful of likes in them.
Curiosity ? Desire to fap ? On steamdb the number of players appears to be constant - and whenever they feel they need some more people they will release update or give freebies. It's probably enough if one player unlocks 20-30% of cards, only insane people will grind hard atm. (if you wonder then yes there are insane people there).
I did receive likes some time ago but certainly not weekly, i do try to log once a week. They released some info regarding the drills and ability to leave avatar in restrained devices as additional ways to get currency.
Bloody hell their support has always been trash but now the game being a buggy mess is your fault as the user, nothing to do with their game or them re-adding old bugs they had fixed before.
Smh, stupid customers why aren't they fully fledged programmers and fixing the game themselves, lazy bums! They should just pay Helius and the moderator staff and shut up or worship the staff if they need to speak.

PH said that free players will be able to join harem as invisible camera and watch people do stuff.
Probably the old gallery will be free much like it is in steam demo.
Will campaign be free ? they never put price tag on it.
EDIT: Ups i misread the quote, the harem pass & season passes are not free and getting them as reward for patreon support does not make them free. I wonder if he is just shit at writing or it is intentional - basically : you are not entitled to anything for supporting us on patreon ,we give you shit for free because we want to.

Will have its own storefront and I doubt it will be free. Someone invested 15 mil for this and I'm not too sure how they'd freemium a singleplayer story, though I wouldn't put it past them to try and find a harem mode type of monetization for that too.
Also don't be surprised if backers have to pay for the campaign too since they're considered different entities now.
Did you miss the screenshot where colress states you'll get the 4 season passes and harem pass for free if you pay $36 dollars?

Didn't he say that they refused the offer? Not that i believe the offer was real anyway. 15m is serious money, not a type you invest into some porn developer that has no made any working games yet. Maybe he got 3m offer or about and then just 5x that for better look, that i could believe.
Now i think you are right that probably campaign will be separate and patreons won't get it as reward.
15m for a small indie game, they might as well buy the whole IP. That's probably the catch for the 15m, as they want the rights to own the game. Or at least, a huge share of the profit

In standard Helius fashion you can find both, depending on the mood at the time and what will serve him best. I assume they took it, "Can't take a story with porn serious" never really rang true since all the characters still run around in gimp suits with their ass hanging out.
But yeah this could also be fake like the top tier mo cap studio doing work for free in exchange while also implementing back end servers for free, just so some random porn dev could test the implementation for them. Now they're on AWS obviously, while using animators.
Something I've been wondering for a while, is there any way to get the workshop scenes in VR? It seems like you're limited to the the lab and the scenes in there. I never figured out how to access these in VR.
