At least the Chinese actually makes something even if its some cheap knockoff. This game on the other hand is now in deep development hell because they keep making unnecessary stupid decisions when it could've just been XCOM but with sex that they originally wanted to.

We do get occasional updates on the rebuild (outside the meaningless 75% done, 85% done, trust us please), but it's usually Helius showing his lack of experience and trying to deflect. For example, he doesn't know how agile development works and tries to handwave it away saying he worked a google and bethesda.

For reference, in agile you should have a concrete changes at the end of every sprint (a period of 2-4 weeks) and regular meetings for upcoming sprints, as well as regular releases every some number of sprints. It's 100% a bad sign to not hear anything as the point of agile is during every sprint planning you can assess and change course if need be. Not hearing back means that planning is being skipped, and no course correction can be made.

Also it does show their previous X% complete posts were made up, since if they hadn't heard from the rebuild team in months they wouldn't know how complete it is. That whole conversation is a sad read since Miya has to not too subtly cut him off to stop him digging a deeper hole.

Also yeah UniversalConquistador any inside scoop? I remember you saying you hoped to convince them of more offline features, no progress there I guess?

yea I know what agile is, I'm in the field too, somewhat.
And LMAO, agile is definitely not made for constant rebuilds, it's quite the opposite, in theory it facilitates quick changes and adaptations.

Of all that can happen, I just hope helius' team and decisions don't fuck this guy's career up. He absolutely deserves to be in the field if he can just make a working server emulator within weeks for shits and giggles

Jesus, i stopped following this project way back in December or whenever they went on steam, and to see them even try to go cloud, its just laughable.

They can barely get the game running on local hardware and they expect it to work on "mobile", i can just imagine them turning it into a subscription based moto because of "server costs" even though no one asked for it.

Helius really fell from grace, and they just keep digging themselves deeper not realizing that piracy isnt the thing killing their game, its the anti-consumer mindset they have on their unoptimized/dry/grindy game

it's honestly beyond me how they think this thing will run as a remote service...it got it's name from the godly graphics that no other porn game currently has but there's no way they can keep that while going with cloud.
and yea, who the fuck will pay for the cloud service CONSTANTLY if this is a free to play game? they will probably barely make enough to cover the hardware running costs, instead of you know...using the fucking client hardware, just because they want to include phones...dumb as hell

This project really turned into a joke after they decided to stuff everything into the extremely laggy & buggy harem mode.

Now that they've thrown the mobile/streaming variable, expect another 1-2 years of irrelevant updates until they get it working... And the final product will be another mess, basically the same that happened with this "harem" or, should I call it, voyeur mode.

This only confirms my previous conclusion, their goal is to maximize profits, the "game" itself has gone as far as it would.

Sort of sad to see that Conquistador jumped on the idea thinking only in his personal benefit, but it's a battle royale out there, I guess. Each man on it's own, unless you're a voyeur like Helius.
