What are you guys upset about, exactly? Are you upset that you were 'scammed'? Because not all of you were paying for the game. So who are the people in the other group?

There are other games, many, out there that just have no complaints despite the typical, typical, typical schedule of progress slows to 1% at the 99% mark. And the patrons are giving them money, they choose to do it and still do it. I am usually confused and shocked when a game just goes and dies, despite years and years of crowdfunding, and people don't seem to usually have much of a reaction. There are many huge titles out there, let's just talk about Divine Arms for one. Are people even upset about that? For some reason, no, no one gives a damn and that game is essentially abandoned. It's a crowdfunded game that is in the queue of a queue. This is called a 2040 release at the earliest.

Some of the people in this thread DID pay for the game, and some of them even got banned from the discord for voicing their complaints and criticism. I'd say that's a pretty valid reason to be pissed.

For the rest of the people in this thread, we're upset because a very promising game (and I use that term loosely) is turning out to be a pile of garbage, a bait&switch that doesn't match what is advertised. And for all intents and purposes this game IS a scam, he's taking 50k per month and delivering what exactly? Denuvo, gacha mechanics and micro transactions... You don't have to get scammed to recognize a scam, mind you!
And ultimately we're pissed at Helius for pulling this crap when there could've been a game worth paying for instead of this and at the people who keep giving him money despite all of this crap burying their heads in the sand like an ostrich.

As for the other games, what are we supposed to do, be pissed about a game we never even heard of? I don't have time to be pissed at everything wrong with the world so I'm prioritizing. I never heard of Divine Arms until now and it's honestly not even the same kind of game, there may be some overlap in the fanbase but I don't think it's that big. I'm pissed at other games too, don't worry, I just keep it in their threads (or to myself if the threads are dead and there's no clouds to yell at).

I re-visited this thread after a year to see if anything had changed. Helius is actually admitting what everyone was saying all along? Took him long enough. No one asked for the gatcha bullshit, if he's losing hair that's 100% on him.

well so far i have been testing the beta and in summary you need players to get it on with you and you collect likes to get items etc. you can only play as 1of 4 females and my character still hasnt been served up any thing yet. i wish i could play a male and do the deed instead of an avatar

A lot of people like me come here because at least in F95Zone the messages are unfiltered. Jumped in the bandwagon because the VR. Try seeing their latest VR version, and how much time am I waiting for any updates, also I'm sure that a lot of people are only willing to pay if Helius finshes, and that's the main problem. So fuck off.

I think people should probably just see it as the developer being hilariously honest and not being used to seeing that, instead they are used to the large capitalist developers who hide decisions like these.

I doubt people are upset that the game sucks, they're more upset that it isn't out yet/it isn't what they wanted. It's probably fair that everyone does want it to succeed.

This game has been in development since UE4 launched with their open licensing terms, around early 2015, and it has been one of the biggest adult games on Patreon since they changed their terms to allow adult content in 2016. It's a little different to other titles which are just a bit slow but still make progress or just outright don't have enough support to continue.

You are right however that the crux of the issue is that the game is still in a comparable state to most early prototypes, despite ~8 years of supposed dev time, and it's also still being actively marketed without advising users that it's intended as a F2P with in app purchases. Not sure this is an excellent defence mind you...

As an aside I also wouldn't guarantee this. Helius has been harping on about story mode, campaign, gameplay elements etc. since the game was just called Fallen Doll. We've never seen so much as screenshots and half the descriptions of how it's meant to work don't make sense and/or contradict one another.

I'd honestly be surprised if combat drill is anywhere near complete or if its been a meaningful development focus at any point in this projects history. If and when it does come out it will probably just be some gacha BS he's outsourced to a mobile dev at the last moment which is obviously not what people paid for.

Looks like PH beginning to seed the idea of abandoning his second project! Can't handle the financials and the stress of the game because he opted to pay for Denuvo and his team of "30" employees (mostly translators and "community managers"), leaving little to no money for himself (as he himself claims).

He honestly seemed to be doing fine on Patreon before he pivoted to transforming his scene viewer into a permanently online gacha porn game. The delays brought on by his own stupidity only cost him Patreon subscribers. He could have kept releasing Gallery stuff, growing his Patreon base, while developing his single player NSFW Game, and it would have been a massive financial success on Steam.

I don't see the risk you are talking about. There are still a lot of common folk paying him. There are also a lot of whales who are willing to pay more than AAA price for a game that is still not completed after all these years. We even had atleast one person in this thread who admitted subscribing to him and then forgetting to cancel his subscription.

I wonder many people like this guy forgot cancelling their patreon subscriptions.

I think if he were to abandon this game and make another game some people would stop paying him but that loss would be nothing compared to the completely new people that would start paying him based on the artifically created hype by helius and his bootlickers. Majority of people don't care enough to check if developer has done shady things in the past so they would gladly pay him based on his promises alone.
