I've been on the Discord long enough to know at least most of the staff isn't even paid and they're there with the only benefit of getting a free game and they just want people to be reasonably happy. PH comes around and fucks off as he wishes, never communicates properly, never listens.

I've read it all. You think is some subjective romantic relationship shit. It's not. I've been on the Discord for years. I've seen it evolve and mocked the idiocy that PH left behind at every mistake.

This is cut and dry, Pasix and the staff have been an absolute gem, they kept the game floating just by not having a heavy hand (god knows I've said a ton of shit about the game and PH) and trying to squeeze everything out of PH at every possible turn.
PH is a giant crybaby and the current events are another proof of this. He leaves the mods on no-communication for weeks, then comes back and undermines them (AGAIN, let's not forget about the re-launch) and just suddenly decides he'll shut down the Discord, WHICH HE DOESN'T EVEN CARE FOR, not realizing it's the one thing that is keeping the game community alive, lmao.

I hope he does shut it down. The game will die within a year.

Regarding those screenshots Helius is definitely at fault, but Pasix is also problematic. The guy has had way too many power trips and his involvement in the server plays a part in why it's so toxic. He's one of the worst mods/community managers I've seen in an official game's discord. He rouses up people when debating things then mutes or threatens to kick them or outright kicks them, then when they come back dissatisfied about how they're treated by a moderator they're eventually perma banned. While lurking in that server I've seen that happen quite a bit within the last year or so.

I don't think Pasix leaving the community would make the game any better, but I think someone else stepping in would at least improve the sanity of the discord server a bit. There's really no hope for Helius though, he's always in his own bubble.

Helius is obviously a pathological liar with zero technical aptitude, project management skills, business sense or capacity for public relations. Pasix is a weird superfan that has spent years simping for a very questionable developer, apparently without thought of remuneration, whilst going on weird power trips and defending some of Helius' worst decisions and backing up his BS along the way.

There is no right side in this. Both of them are unprofessional morons (although at least Helius is doing it for money).

True, Pasix has been a power tripping CM many times before and has shilled for Helius too many times to count. But I find scamming people for money - what Helius is doing - to be 1000x worse.

Sure, fuck them both though. I just finally hope enough people see how shit of a person Helius is and stop supporting him. The discord seems to finally be turning around on that matter, thanks in part to this mod mutiny. Helius has always only cared about making money. Every dumb, non-suggested, idiotic decision, and lie he has told has been about getting more money. The faster people start to realize that, the faster this bubble collapses.

I had hopes for this "game" years ago, but reality has sunk in for many.

Pasix never banned anyone unjustly. You had to be a real idiot to get banned on that Discord.

A lot has changed, actually: Pasix and staff were people who stuck with the project for a LONG time. They were the only people with some ties to the game that were actually striving to get transparency out of that shithead of a project lead.

With them gone, the new CM and mods are just going to be puppets. The discord will either a) collapse into a banfest because PH will just not give a shit or b) die, possibly with the game, as soon as the first "missed deadline" happens (And we have one already: "combat mode in a few months"... yeah. Few months. That'll help and totally not backfire.

I think that's the first big nail in the coffin for this project. I'm dropping the discord for sure, I'd just get banned for voicing complaints now, pretty certain.

I may be unique in some way, but at work I get paid not for what I try, but for showing results. Has communication improved? No. Any speculation about who tried and who didn’t is pointless.
