They look less human like. I can't pin point my finger on it. Anyway, is there a way to run high textures, but low effects? I want high textures, but I don't like all the shadows and stuff. I can't turn them off from the in game settings
The only bit of information that you give us is it doesn't run. You're not telling anyone about your computer hardware, operating system, video driver version, the source of your download, or anything else that might be of help.
i run a intel i5 4150s and a gt1030 and the game runs at 20 fps on med low 25 its poorly optimized but thats because its pretty much early access id wait it out for optimizations or a mod
You have no discrete GPU (Intel Iris Plus is integrated graphics), so the game most likely won't run on your hardware.

No, the game is still very much in active development. That is a public demo version for this game, as it says on the page: "The public demo only contains a small portion of the full game's contents". The releases found here are the Patreon versions (the latest builds of the game) with all the content that's available.
