Guys, can anyone tell me if it's possible to somehow remove the soap effect when you bring the camera closer to the character?

Well well well, to absolutely nobody's surprise, the update has been a complete shite-show.

Content-wise as uninteresting as it promised to be, with the recycled Erotes stuff from the original FD. Hell, I remember being able to buy furniture in that one. Technical issues, more aggressive monetization plans, dropped Gallery and campaign, toning down to comply with censorship and desperate Denuvo measures to keep at bay people that weren't going to buy anyways confirm once more the priorities of the shady chinese modding team.

Wow the steam forum got completely nuked from the looks of things. Just in time for the fresh wave of suckers to fall for it.
These guys are RUTHLESS. I often visit the steam forums and this is the first time I see a full board wipe like this, even for games with lots of issues, complaints and updates per year. At least they had the decency to openly admit it was a damage control maneuver.

The way I see it, in the unlikely chance someone removes Denuvo, people will just check it and then move on.

Poor guy, I'm sure milking tf out of unsuspecting suckers must take it's toll on one's soul.

I'd comment on how likely that seems based on this update... if their authentication servers weren't buckling under the immense strain of *checks notes* 500 players...
You have to wonder how viable their whole business model even is if they can barely scrape together 500 players. Doesn't seem like enough people to pay for the upkeep of the server infrastructure.

It would have been far more viable to drop the whole always-online bullshit and just flood the game with a steady stream of DLC. Can't be that hard to make more costumes.

, but I suspect that may be negotiable.

Personally given that the game is online I'd have just gone with VMProtect and relied on that combined with a lot of the stuff being server side to make cracking it a pain in the ass. Denuvo seems like overkill, think this is the first time I've heard of their anti-tamper being used in an online only game let alone a limited budget indie title.
That is a lot, I think that must be pricing for AAA titles, in past at least they had prices based on expected sales and Indie games had prices much cheaper. My wild guess is that they paid 100k for a year.

Looking at Denuvo protected games I notice a few that are online games like Marvel Avengers, Battlefield, MH, Anthem.

Depends how you look at it. For a porn game that is not bad, Subverse that is arguably the most well known porn game only clocks 2k during updates and that game got some gameplay.
On the other hand for live service 500 is horrible even niche one, but I don't think people play it as life service game yet as progress is to be reset.

Do you have a better source on denuvo anti-tamper scanning memory? I think you might be getting it mixed up with their anti-cheat. Denuvo is based on vmprotect and mostly relies on virtualization, obfuscation and encryption.

There's a good discussion on how it works , although it's spread over a few levels of the comments. Conceivably their integrity checks could involve scanning the entirety of memory, it just seems unlikely and I've never heard that before.

Not that I imagine it's doing any favours for performance in FD since I can't really picture Helius being careful about how he implements it. Will find out when I'm home and can run the game, if the servers are working by then.
not really sure tbh but the fact that the company would implement that even in an anti-cheat is a trigger for me. Wouldn't want that type of shit in my PC, same as riot's dumbass kernel-level anti-cheat...
Oh I thought they must of messed up bad implementing it or something, I think you're just a bit misinformed. It's no easy task removing Denuvo there's only a few people capable of removing it and only one person who is actively doing it and she quiet picky about which games she decides to work on. CPY is retired and SKIDROW just dropped their first Denuvo game in years. I have little hope of it getting removed anytime soon.
well that's the big names we know aren't really dealing with denuvo but that doesn't mean lesser-known people aren't doing it either

Yeah. I did try for a bit before I got in.. But after that I've had no issues getting in.

Sucks that I'm lucky and everyone else it not.
Did you manage to get anything when you got in? I have 0 experiments compared to the previous version. Also I already see a lot of people unlocking the new character

Tbf Avengers, Monster Hunter and do have single player elements (more so the first two). I'm surprised Battlefield uses it though, I wonder if they're using the anti-cheat?

And yeah the price linked above is almost certainly negotiable, I know Far Cry paid less as . It's probably the same sort of ballpark though.

Well it's 500 in-game, which is a good gauge as to how many users are actually trying to log in or actively playing (since you need to be logged in to try and connect). A lot of players, myself included, have probably given up and closed the application.

I posted a screenshot with the censorship filter in the community illustration on steam, signing that this is a new censorship, let's see if it will be removed or left
