Imagine all of the money and "effort" being put into this glorified animation viewer.

This game is the equivalent of using a 100% save file to unlock the full gallery to beat your dick without having to play the game. Except you don't even unlock the full gallery. You have to sit there and fap to the first few animations for hours just to unlock a few more. All the while, a bunch of other dudes are standing behind you, fapping to you fapping.

Except you can't even do that. Because the animation viewer is hosted unnecessarily on an online server that is constantly offline and nonfunctional. So instead you pay money to stare at an error screen until you decide to move on and get off to a better game.

This is the Operation Lovecraft experience.

Yes. Go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Paralogue\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor folder. Edit Engine.ini file and add at the bottom:
[/Script/Engine.RendererSettings]
r.Streaming.PoolSize=0

It should look like this.

You need to run the game one time for it to create the folder. Also. You need to show hidden file in window setting in order to see AppData folder,

"stress test" HAHA this thread never fails to deliver, I swear !!!

And yes, even with their shady practices they have zealots. Sometimes I wonder if they're hired or something.

I think it's probably time to abandon ship, just like with Wild Life (but at least Wild Life gave something to their community: Sandbox Editor). Neither games are going to be finished, so I stopped following Wild Life a while ago. When it comes to Fallen Doll... well, I just do not see the point in coming to check only to see the same complaints over and over. Version 0.49 is the latest version of this game for me, nothing to look forward to.

Damn dude, who would've thought him sitting in discord chat picking fights with everyone unhappy about the state of the game and communication surrounding it would result in so much hate mail.

Maybe if he spends the next few weeks picking even more fights it will fix the problem.

I'm pretty sure he is talking about Project Extermination. It's just a solo dev and they post on Twitter often of their progress on the game and the quantity and quality for a single person is super impressive, unlike the trash heap we have here.
If so, then that's a weird example to bring up. It's Matey's like third project with previous two being abandoned. He has some UE skills, but he's a horrible project manager which is a big risk and why I stopped supporting his work until he finishes something to completion.

I still follow WL and think it's one (if not only) at least possible project. They are not that bad like PH tbh

So whats going on with the game? did they release 0.7 as they say? And how long would it take to crack?
They did release it. Then immediately took the servers down again for "24h maintenance" because nothing really worked, it was completely broken everywhere you looked. That was two weeks ago. It's been dead since then.

There is pretty high chance it will be never cracked, since it's using denuvo now. It looks like they spent the last year mostly on anti-piracy crap, since there is actually very little new content in 0.7.0, you are not missing much

The scam looks greater than I thought then. Moderators should put the title ''Made in China'' & Abandoned tags already..

+1

Wild life has had a bit of feature creep, which is fairly understandable when a small project blows up a bit more than expected, and they've also decided against releasing their campaign piecemeal but they still make a lot of the content they're using for the campaign available in the editor and give frequent and detailed development updates which are even accessible to those who aren't currently subbed.

It's pretty much the epitome of how these crowd funded projects should be run. You know what's really fucked up though?

I know Helius' subs will drop like a rock in a month or so, presuming they don't get the update live just in time for the 1st to encourage users to resub, but based on historic trends it'll still rank higher than a genuine project which really makes me wonder how reliant Patreon is on users just forgetting their subs.

Just to really drive home the disparity, because I'm sad and I find this fascinating, compared to .

Not only does Helius give updates less frequently but the differences in detail are astounding. Just vaguely describing how everything has been released and is super duper hunkydory despite the game... not actually working. At all. Just a sneaky little "server maintenance ongoing" line added to the very bottom to suggest that none of it actually worked and everything is still offline several weeks later.

I assumed it was an outright scam for a while but Helius paying for Denuvo suggests otherwise, that is not cheap (or popular with gamers) so he really seems to think he has something worth dumping $10-25k per month into protecting. Similarly the online only requirement doesn't seem like the sort of thing you'd do if it was a pure Patreon scam where they conduct the bare minimum work and pander to subscribers to keep the money coming in.

I suppose the one caveat to that is that he may have convinced Denuvo not to charge until the game is "released," which would be in line with their standard terms:

If he never actually plans on releasing the game on Steam then perhaps it's all just a charade, but I think that explanation is hellishly convoluted.

The simpler explanation by far is that he's just an idiot that lied about his experience when starting the project and is essentially trying to put a full game together with a team of modders with no chain of command and nobody with any project management experience to take the reins. That would explain why they flip flop all over the place in terms of scope and direction, do alright with assets and animations but can't implement any even moderately complicated gameplay system or design ux worth a damn etc.

Hilarious project either way though. Almost worth the $36 just to watch it unravel in slow motion over the years.
I'm sorry the pile of shit Anti-Tamper that has been ruining games for the last 5 years costs HOW MUCH?

$25,000 per month and $0.5 per activation, per . Helius might have negotiated a lower payment, or he might be relying on the monthly fee only kicking in from the date of release on Steam, but given the reputational risk of being associated with a small time porn game with questionable crowd funding roots I can't imagine Denuvo were chomping at the bit for the business.
