In fact, this game caused a "Wow effect" literally in the first month or two after I saw it. The main distinguishing feature was the high-quality study of models and animations, as well as the presence of monsters / tentacles. And this is complex to achieve nothing what they do is complex and mostly all of it done by EPIC themselves.
Yes it is hard to get a Vision and good working IP done but the System they created on top of Unreal is overall currently very unspectacular compared to some other Teams that are rather working in the Dark or get relative much less attention not advertising so much here .

I guess that Coder fall into Cardiac Neurosis when he understood how much he has to improve on his own that the whole thing doesn't fall apart on Unreals Main Branch and has a good overall stable base for the future

If really Qi Wu is the Head of Project H damn he is a great Artist but he is somehow really getting corrupted the way he manages this.

And if that Dev was young , he is in the end responsible for his team as the lead something like this should have never happened to someone under his leadership.

Im also not sure why they even release that story it is in every way so bad marketing for them, sometimes you should better keep your hands of the keyboard.

Their piracy "concerns" are a simple excuse to justify their shady practices.

At no point throughout the whole of gaming history, spanning now some 50 years, has anyone been able to definitely prove that piracy causes any actual financial harm to a company. People that weren't going to buy the game aren't going to do so just because said game is not obtainable illegally - they'll just move on and find something else to pirate.

As many others have stated, my main concern is that the developers expect us to buy a game where the majority of the content is server-side, and when they permanently shut the servers down you don't have access to all the content you've paid for (and trust me, you'll be paying a lot for new characters, sets, costumes, animations etc.).

And these guys are no EA or Ubisoft that have the cash and infrastructure to keep servers up and running for years to come, they're a minuscule studio that struggles to even release looping animations in a timely manner (reminder, the last official release is now 7 months old).

If their MTX scheme doesn't work out, how long are they going to be able to keep paying for the servers to stay on? And what happens when they decide to pull the plug?

And nor do I understand what the purpose of a Patreon account would be other than for subscription.

If it were just to tally the contributions an individual user has made towards the project, that could be handled differently or just be a one-off when booting the game to have Patreon and Steam share that information.

Also, there's the simple fact that Steam especially, and the Ubisoft store to a lesser degree, is that they offer additional services and benefits (mod database, automated patching, access to walkthrough and guides, forums etc.), while Patreon offers absolutely nothing at all that is useful for the end-user.

The only purpose of the site is to facilitate the sharing of paywalled content with subscribers.

And this game WILL have pay2win (or to be more precise, pay-not-to-grind) purchases (the timer shown in one of the recent videos all but guarantees this), on top of having to buy new costumes, poses, characters, having to pay for the game itself on Steam, and likely for any additional expansions they come up with.

And when they decide to shut down the game you'll lose all of the money invested and there will not be any way to access this content anymore.

Every negative thought you had about those hamster-wheel mobile games you ever had, you can safely direct at this game, because it will live up to them, and likely exceed them.

It is all about total control and make no mistake it will get even worse, you will never get greed of some under control it takes them apart and they not going to care of their actions and what they create out of it, the way the anime/hentai freaks are getting unclothed here because of their addiction and how it is used against them i never have seen that before.

Though the Growing Digital Interactive Porn Industry as a whole is still young and the majority is gonna move into the direction of the Real Porn Industry keeping the addiction running and affordable and keeping themselves alive growing their breed to survive into the future, just give it time

As soon as the monetization started I really lost interest in this game, first it was a Steam release, then they decided on this online mode, then loot boxes then some investor shows up out of nowhere the whole thing just seems its going to be riddled with scummy tactics to get people to buy cosmetics and stuff like that, I think at some point they lost the vision of what the game was going to be which they stated multiple times a single player RPG, that is the fundamental issue with why games fail is they lose the original vision for the game once the dollars start rolling in and am willing to bet that this game will be a massive flop.

If you go back all the way to the original Fallen Doll, it was supposed to be a single player porn game, like a brothel management game. Then came Paralogue, which is this bestiality game that I don't think many actually wanted that started as side project if I recall correctly. Before becoming this current monstrosity, with the original game put on indefinite hold. I'm upset that I have stayed as a patron for as long as I have being caught in this bait-and-switch, hoping for more of the original Fallen Doll updates that never came.

I imagine the vast majority of people will boot up the game, rub one out, and then promptly quit, and repeat this as many times as it takes them to look through all the animations and grow bored with them - and then realize there's really nothing else to do but grind like an idiot.

I was gonna contradict you by saying that the game looks so good that just wouldn't happen...but you're actually right...I haven't played it in a while and rather did it to other stuff like harem hotel and true facials...shit
I hope they bring something fresh in soon. If they add the ability to move limbs somehow that would make me buy it 100%

For the record, sadly for you it is a big NO, because simple, the game follow online mode which most of the game data will be in the server, thus have almost no data to pirate/crack (like any MMORPG game you play now in the market), also they not even release actual new version yet for us to see

This one has me confused, they churn out dozens of animations/add existing animations to other characters each update. There is also currently no plan to require patreons to stay patrons after the game is released. Their animations are also superior to that of PH in terms of models, sound design and overall interaction.

Not sure where you got the info about a few new outfits, but that person was clearly uninformed.

If PH actually had a nearly full featured completed game, then I might not be feeling like I'm gonna get took. But to force an online only mode (that literally nobody asked for) that will host over half of the animations for the game, says alot about their plans. They are hosting it on their own servers, so that means if they ever go belly up or feel the cost of maintaining it is too little, that part of the game will be lost to us if they don't patch in a sp version before they give up on it.

Their sexual sound design is tragically bad on about 80% of their animations, their animations are also only a few steps up from how studiofow designed their sex scenes in subverse. Granted it's vastly better than fows, it is still a very basic animation previewer with worse framerates and average camera control. They're setting up to make us continue to pay for a game we've already paid for over months to a year+ of support for the promise of all the content to only now have them swap gears not to long ago and splitting up what should be available to anyone in a one time purchase.

I don't know if they will commit to such an action to use their servers, but I seriously hope they think really hard about how successful they want their game to be as paying for a subscription for a sex scene viewer is hardly a good deal. There isn't even any gameplay and it's been in the works for a long time.

That's not why they're doing it though. Steam already accepted them after review from all the other patreons understanding based on what they posted. This is a decision they made because some unknown entity asked them to do so in exchange for stuff to make the animations, or so they say.

Of course nobody actually knows what is or isn't true as they seem to post some absurd shit all the time with zero proof other than "just trust us bro" as the headline.

Steam has so much furry shit on their platform, at this point their guidelines are as flexible as water. They may say stuff to keep up the public view, but they got some serious degenerate shit in the adult section. They aren't gonna pass up on easy money from an relatively untapped market making strides into the open world.

I'd also like to add that the offline version of the game has beast like animations and it was passed during review, so the online thing is purely an eromancer power play. I pulled support as I have enough for the key if they ever stop making excuses. But that scummy shit will deff keep me from supporting them in the future.
