Yeah, but also new if they stick to the fact that she did cheat on him and yet is trying to redeem herself (or not, perhaps she's already redeemed and moved on). I don't know of another game that has an actual love interest who cheated and was found out by the MC in such a dramatic way but then comes back years later. Regardless I think that the dev should stick to Ava being a cheater, few will go that route but it will interest some. I prefer that there be a "no love interest I need to get my shit together" route. We shall see...

Last dev update on patreon 4/25
Now besides that, I finally got done with the flashback sequence, and we're back to present day. The render above is when MC wakes up. As you can see Annie looks a bit different, I converted her to gen 8.1, and also changed up her hair a bit for reasons that will be easily explained when you play chapter 2. All in all, I am very happy to be back in the present. There is a lot planned for this chapter so developing it is gonna take a lot of time. I am sincerely grateful for everyone that's been waiting patiently, and I feel so guilty when another month goes by and I can't deliver news on a release date or something more "big". I've already stated not having 3090 is slowing things down significantly so I am relying on a render farm that is not available often. I'm hoping maybe a few months after chapter 2 I can afford a 3090, but we'll see. I have really improved my overall render quality and learned more regarding posing and lighting so little things like that will increase the length of a render.
All this being said, I am optimistic this next month will have a bigger render count than before, among other things. I feel more focused and motivated to get these scenes done. Coding will need to begin soon though, which is never that fun for me, LOL. But yeah, catch you guys next month with hopefully a MUCH more chunkier dev update. Take care.

Hey everyone, hope May treated you all well. Here is my current progress on Fallen Roads chapter 2:
Writing: 50%
Coding: 30%
Rendering: 40%
Total: 45%
These are just ballpark calculations, but as you can see they're not as large as I'd like them to be. Let's go over what I've actually done this past month. One of the first things I had to do was flesh out some characters who are going to be more impactful to the story in some way than I originally planned. Which also required me to write some more backstory stuff that will be revealed later in the story. Another thing I did was render another 100 or so renders while simultaneously writing the dialogue for 2 other scenes. Lastly, I coded a little quick time event that will hopefully be fun to you guys when you play it.
What I need to do for this month is go back to the writing board a bit and go through my entire story again and move some things around just to make sure everything makes sense and is connected. Then I need to finish that house I was 3D modeling in blender and see how much of it will be used in the game and how much I will just kitbash (combining multiple different assets together) in Daz. Also need to finish writing most of the dialogue for all the scenes and then of course I'll render and code a lot more this month. I can tell you guys now, mentally I'm aiming for a late July-early August release at this pace. Would be nice if it could be earlier but as you guys know, there are multiple setbacks and bottlenecks holding me back. But hey, progress is progress. Hope you enjoy this render of Annie, and hopefully next month treats you better than this one.

I haven't personally been cheated on as far as I know(lol I say that cause we never really know what people do behind your back) but for some reason that cheating scene kinda hit me, the batryal is what gets me I guess and that coming from a person who claims she loves you
But I get your point, me personally I don't care how pretty a girl is if she cheats she's dead to me.. I don't tolerate batryal and disloyalty.. Will I forgive her, I guess with time when you find someone else you stop giving a fuck about the past girls so her cheating on you wouldn't mean shit anymore, so that's kind of forgiveness but in this case with the MC it seems like what she did to him ruined his life so I could understand if he never forgives her and I'm totally cool with that(lol if I'm honest if the dev gives us an option to either forgive her or not I'll probably pick the latter)
