while the content is "Required" you don't have to read it
True, but in my experience (and I assume other peoples' experience as well), not only is it unimmersive to have to skip text and scenes you're not into, but those scenes usually get called out later as well. So even if I skip the dog-dickings, later on I might get smacked in the face with a reminder that, to Zoe, Rocket is 100% a viable sexual partner... Such as what happens when her hormones get upgraded. And skipping scenes piecemeal is definitely not worth it.
I dunno how it broke the code, though. As far as I can tell right now Rockets scenes are totally self-contained outside of that one hormone-upgrade scene and being needed to unlock the wombworm.
Edit:
Also on the question of bestiality. I am aware that is a massive no-no for some people, but as I'm currently doing this for free, I'm going to write what I want to write. Sorry to be blunt, but best to lay my cards out right away. I will definitely consider making it optional, but as it stands at the moment, it makes sense that Zoe needs to placate Rocket. She can't have an inquisitive dog sniffing around her nest now, can she?
Sure, girl, write what you want. It being optional would be a big help for widening appeal beyond people cool with the knot though. An option to pacify him by attaching a lesser mindworm to him, slipping slime into his food dish and getting him off your back that way...
hucking the little bastard into the furnace like Dio
I can see the logic behind getting him out of the way, I just would hate to have to drop what's looking like a pretty good game because one of my anti-fetishes is mandatory. I guess it all depends on how much that complicates future scenes though. It's probably not worth it if it means changing nearly every scene, but that raises the question of how much the dog is supposed to get involved to begin with, which might not be planned right now.
