I must admit that I never enjoy games with actual sex mechanics. Clicking 'eat pussy' or 'stick your finger up her arse and then wipe it on her pillow' is never as enjoyable as a scene in which those things just happen and the happening is well described.

This whole structure strikes me as a lot of work that will in no way result in a better game. In truth, I suspect it's just an aggressively absurd project goal that will never see the light of day and which exists purely as cover for the fact that he is still after all these years incapable of sitting down and writing a fucking story.
I disagree, crushes work is good. It's just good in the context of creating a framework for other developers to use in their games. Rather than in the context of "I am making a game with a story that will be completed in 2 years" Which will never happen and hasn't happened. I always like the new art, mechanics crush adds. Now he just needs to open source this shit, and let other developers make stories with it.

I disagree, the only reason to play lewd games instead of reading erotica is precisely the fact that you can (in theory) decide exactly how, when, and where stuff happens (within the constraints of the universe/game of course)

There are some games with good sex mechanics. LT and Fenoxo's stuff comes to mind.
But seeing the ridiculously slow backwards pace of this game he really shouldn't waste time on "mutual sexpertise checks"
This isn't 18+ dnd anyway.

Still waiting for another release. You could literally rewrite the game between every update.
I feel like the game literally is being redone between every other update.

Nobody is asking him to release an update every month, but to sit and defend him when he’s spent an entire year hyping up his grand plan to add old content back into the game because he can’t drive the story forward while delivering zero meaningful updates is delusional levels of sycophantic behaviour that will only encourage him to keep doing it.

This was a gem from the Discord today:

I mean...there's an inflection point somewhere down the line, right? Or is infinite waiting for 'great update' also okay?

(Cough, already great 'game'? Where's the game currently?)
IN the real world, game development takes times to finish
In the real world, stakeholders also demand tangible progress periodically.

Why do you care? (And you do care, you care enough to follow their game and post about it.)

A significant number of their paying supporters wanted them to work on the "life path" (btw, it's not just adding old content, saying that is disingenuous) and are clearly happy with their pace of development as evidenced by their continued financial support for it.

Is it because you love their game and want more?

A significant number of paying supporters (I used to be one) wanted to see Kate become a Bangkok bargirl/whore, which was the original promise of the game. But Crush will do everything in his power to tease that without ever delivering because that is the basis of the extremely lucrative grift he has going. Hence, his bi-weekly shucking and jiving on Patreon, the ridiculous MOAB development and a projected 2-3 year additional development time for a regurgitated lifepath. In actuality, no one was asking Crush to drop the Bangkok storyline to go back to the lifepath- that was his unilateral decision almost a year ago.

Frankly, after seven years, the main question isn't whether people "love" the game and "want more". Female Agent is far more interesting today as a Star Citizen type cautionary tale in the AVN space of an unprincipled developer stringing along well meaning supporters to line his own pockets.

At this point most people are just taking the piss out of it, because there is nothing else you can do. It has become a meme and the reason for that is not that people suddenly decided to gang up on him. He did this to himself and in all fairness, I don't think that he needs to care as he makes money off of it. GG to him.

That being said, please do remind me as I am getting older and my brain turns to mush at a faster pace these days, but didn't FA use to have an interactive system and he decided to walk away from it? Now he is bringing it back? Good lord. He truly is stuck in a loop.

FWIW, I don't like the life path. I think the juvenile stuff is weird. I don't want to watch young James Bond's driving lessons.

I also follow Star Citizen for the learned lessons (and lulz).

But I don't hate Star Citizen or Female Agent. If they make a good game update I'd pay and play.

I just find it fascinating how this game (and other tardy developed adult games e.g. AWAM, JOHN) capture people. The power of boners, right?!

GG to him. I agree with that. They're working on something. Might not be as fast as people want or even what people want but, evidentially, people want to pay for it.

I don't know what is the latest iteration of the interactive system. Last I saw there was some kind of sex flowchart and XP stats for being a drone pilot. Maybe they collide in the filming of some glorious avant garde sex scene. Go figure.

Like a lot of misguided adult game developers, I think they forgot to put the porn in their porn game.

A starving man will gratefully accept a cracker if that is the only nourishment available.

The thread you point to came five months after the previous official release- a period during which Crush repeatedly complained that the material he was working on wasn't "hot" enough, that he was struggling, needed a break and new direction etc. Furthermore, there were numerous objections in that thread and many commenters didn't seem to grasp that Crush would drop Bangkok to focus exclusively on the lifepath for a deliberately indeterminate period. Note as well in the seven months since that thread Crush has produced exactly nothing- although based on a recent discord post, a "small" update may still be coming this year. Oh, and that may include additional skin tones & brows for the game's sole avatar lol.

The decision to postpone the Bangkok storyline for multiple years in order to take a third stab at the lifepath was not a supporter-driven decision. It was Crush slapping a veneer of feedback to obscure a fait accompli that conveniently prolongs development indefinitely.

Not to mention, a lot of the people "asking for it" seemed to just be responding based on the glowing interpretation in that post alone. As is often the case on Patreon, people often say to do stuff without realizing just how much WORK the proposed features are. Because to them its just a feature to play, not something to be developed. If that post had a realistic timeline on how long it would take to add it in, and being generous to not even need to mention said timeline included stopping all other content development, a lot of those players would not have been as enthused.

Lucky this is a "independent" game because if i went to my Boss i said "you don't realise how hard it is (doing my job) i can't!" i think i would have problems.

I keep going back to this part of the forum and every week people have the same cyclic discussion; Developer is just scamming people, it's the "The Day Before" of the porn games. Promise something to re-do it later, half done updates to later be re-re-re-done and kinda stupid paying Patreons happy to pay for a product that clearly it's not goin to be finished ever.

Your proof that the majority of supporters reject the lifepath (that's how voting works, right)?

Because Graphtreon shows they still have 2000 hardcore members. Can you dig it?

You may not like it. I don't like it. So I just don't give them money. But I also don't bitch about it.
