I'm here mostly for the Lols, because if I was here for the game updates I'd be seriously wasting my time.

You, on the other hand, have posted in this thread consistently for five years, mostly to defend Crush, but also frequently to complain about other posts. So who is the bitch exactly?

Wake me up when Kate starts turning tricks in Bangkok... or graduates from High School, whichever comes first.

That's... why you're here?

Your proof that the majority of supporters reject the lifepath (that's how voting works, right)?

Because Graphtreon shows they still have 2000 hardcore members. Can you dig it?

You may not like it. I don't like it. So I just don't give them money. But I also don't bitch about it.
$1 a month isn't exactly hardcore. That's what the majority give, not $5. Does $1 even buy a candy bar anymore? They see the game isn't abandoned, and was pretty good at one time, so its enough to not make them reach for the unsub button

You fools don't realize what's going on here?
All you have to do is look at the real world, the US supported ISIS in Libya and Syria because it suits them, just like when it supported Al-Qaeda and the mujahideen in Afghanistan against Russia and then pretended to fight them in order to traffic heroin in the rest of the world.

What does all this have to do with the female agent? Don't you know? It's not obvious, she's looking for an Islamic terrorist that she'll never catch, why? He surely works with the same intelligence services that our female agent serves... obviously!!!
Her mission is just to be a honey pot, that's what agents from all the intelligence services in the world do to keep the virile Islamic terrorists happy or to become the whore of handsome Russian spies, or to spy on the allied industrialists.
Now tell me if this isn't what is happening in real life right now???
At this level there are only two options, either Crush will receive a literature novel for his hyper-realistic game or he will have to flee to Russia with Snowden when the intelligence services find out about this new leak or he will end up like Assange in prison.
F95zone is the new Wikileaks and all of you are screwed but especially those who give money to Crush, those are the ones who are really screwed for financing spies

Some people are in too deep and to admit that they've spend a year paying for nothing would hit them in the ego so they're denying it. People tend to not like admitting that they're wrong.

It's like crypto, the patrons are "holding" the bag, and the bag is being taken away slowly so you barely notice but it's happening.

This happens when the creator of the content(game) get's more known and stakes his livelihood/identity on the game doing "good". He has these imaginary expectations and a bar inside his head where he feels constant pressure to rise it higher each update. Then a passion project that had ideas flow turns into a job where it has to be a "hit" each time and the fear starts to grow of him not living up to the hype or expectations.

Then the procrastination kicks in and the more you delay the more expectations you build until you look around and (6)months have passed. Eventually, it becomes unmanageable. This is content creep at its finest. He has to realise that releasing "good enough" content is sometimes fine to keep the status quo and your game relevant.

Now this is quite trivial considering that this is an h-game and we're all pirates, but when there's money involved I think it becomes and entirely different thing. It would be fine if he paused billing to take a creative break and regroup but not listening to your audience's feedback is one of many things that are detrimental to this project.

The whole problem with Lifepath is that Crush already scrapped it twice because he didn't know what to do with it! He simply couldn't figure out how to use it within his game. Which is why all those skills and stats were barely used.

And nothing he wrote now makes me think he figured that out... until he figures it out how those skills and stats will be used in the game, all the work on it that he does is practically useless.

That is the problem with a whole lot of mechanics he developed so far... he build them, but they were never used for anything. And were never even mentioned after the update they were introduced in.

How long has it been since this game's been updated? Shouldn't it have the 'Abandoned' tag already?

I was wrong. I thought it would be scrapped a 3rd time, and the next time it'd start in Bangcock, guess it's scrapped entirely instead.

Yeah as someone who's fucked around with Twine a bit, making these systems barely helps anything get easier and generally you end up wasting a ton of time to make your game a more bloated broken mess. End of the day you still have to write everything yourself; the most twine will do is keep track of variables and maybe a rudimentary inventory system (which FA doesn't even try to have other than occasionally with the clothes) or economy (which FA could also benefit from).

Like the dice roll shit; if you actually want non-linear results you have to write a bunch of alternative branches for different rolls. This takes a ton of time and gets complicated and means you're writing content that might never get seen - and crush obviously doesn't want to do that most of the time - so the dice system becomes pointless chaff.

If he'd just keep writing the mostly-linear CYOA scenarios in the world he's created I'd be happy enough. He's a good writer in terms of flow and eroticism, and he could just write female agent spy stories (like his little one-off story last year) and not be locked to this one mission ad infinitum. He could add to the clothing system and do other time periods, sci-fi, WHATEVER, just use the framework to write enduring sexy stories.

Then too, and I know I've mentioned it before, he could also easily add some hub and spoke sections to FA, add a money grind or a corruption grind to make the game gamier.

Was browsing through the HTML game lists and noticed this one has been sitting for a year.

How long does it take for a game to be marked 'Abandoned'?
Last update was released to public 31/5/2024.

There are several qualifiers for the abandoned prefix rule 3.2, but the one based on game updates is > 18 months, so if that occurs soonest (unlikely), it would be considered abandoned 30 November 2025.

My guess is they will release the life path upgrade update before the end of 2024.

guess more realistic
Back at you. You pick a date for the update? Let's see.

I'm aware this thread is nothing left but haters (who also love this game, that's why you're here) but I will still discuss the game I enjoy here.

update or rework3 v.01 not this year. spring 25 or just before time to earn abandoned tag
whole game? i don't know when he plans retirement... 2049?

oh common... what do you have to discuss about game one year after last update? only thing we can do about game is mocking situation - updates, "dev's" lies and scam, morons that are paying monthly fee for it...
and there is no haters here. we all love this game. otherwise we wouldn't be here.
(but we are definitelly no fans of "dev" or lazy milking cheating s.o.b.)

This is going to sound crazy because I am a member of the Discord for this project and I visit its meme pages (and no other pages) every day, but I deadass forgot there's even a game attached to that server. It's become simply a place I go to laugh at funny captions.

Mate, it's almost mid-December, and there hasn't been any indication it's close to a release. Not to mention he hasn't even started the mandatory rewrites because it's not hot enough
The last update was like a single scene.

I can't imagine him releasing anything of substance but I can imagine a little demonstration that he has actually built *something* in the last six months slipping out before New Year. If only to keep the paypigs on side and give his defenders something to gesture at.

I can't imagine anything of substance emerging for the simple reason that he doesn't appear to have made any actual creative decisions... it's all 'I could do this' and 'we're looking at that' but it's all very open and insubstantial and doesn't bear the patina of someone who has been sat in front of a keyboard for a while before going 'this way... I'm doing it this way'.

There's a text-based game called Inner Empire (which... really good... recommended) and the dev for that game has basically disappeared into a massive update that will be about 4 months late at this point and the updates from that dev are concrete and specific; we know the number of words, the number of scenes, they talk about exploring specific plot-lines, and making decisions about what to work on based upon what they know about the paths people take through the game.

Admittedly Crush has never been that specific about his creative process (or lack thereof) but think about when he was writing about buying shoes or selecting hairstyles. Those are evidence of concrete creative decisions being made... evidence that is almost entirely lacking from more recent updates.
