If directors and actors can get paid millions to make super shit, worthless movies that pander to specific audiences, surely we can scrape together several thousand a month in patreon and get a decent porn game made.

If there's an audience there should be someone seeking to exploit it.
Yeah let's take one totally out of the ordinary example to justify one of the worst support\content ratio of every project posted on this site :D

Yes, Crush is seeking to exploit the sexpionage game audience. The discussion was about what exactly "exploit" means in this case, so I guess that shitty movie reference was your comparing him to Uwe Boll?

Crushs open world concept will be different than traditional sandbox games. It will just be optional missions/choices/paths, whatever you want to call it. Basically the game becomes non-linear or has short branching side quests (though the sidequests themselves would all be pretty linear). Non linear implies those paths continue to the end, but no they would really be side quests that do end and affect the MCs stats. Whereas there will also exist non-linear main story paths for different endings possibly but unlikely until the game is completed.

So these side quests will basically be events that happen on the side, from sleeping with clients to espionage missions, etc. You don't need a map to do this, and part of the sandbox part would be you get to buy/design your own wardrobe. But mainly you can just present different options on the screen to start missions... either in the MCs hostel or at her bar job or at the safe house via her laptop/phone or in conversation with her support team.

Perhaps later on failing to do/complete certain side missions a certain way will affect the ending of the main story as well.

I'm pretty sure crush could write like up to 10 side quests and have them completed in the same time frame it takes him to do updates currently, depending on how long they are. He would be better off outsourcing some of these side quests to other writers/volunteers who write them... and then just editing them for style and content and putting them together, since this will save him time... but it also depends how well those writers can write.

but yeah i could see this game having 50+ quests within a year? again depending on how long they are, some would be short, some medium, some really long. potentially side quests could be things that continually get added to the game even after the game is finished. so there would eventually be a lot. once there is a good base number crush would continue with the main story. probably before sidequests he would bring back the life path and start using the character sheet since sidequests would also affect the character sheet?

sidequests would be linear mini stories though... perhaps branching them slightly in places would be possible, but it would be like designing 2 side quests and would take additional time, so i can't see this happening unless it was just 1 scene at the end that changes depending your choices throughout the whole side quest. and yeah many of these sidequests would be about kinks/sex with clients, maybe humiltation kink, or exhibitionism, or gangbangs etc. and there is some sort of mission involved with the client, potentially or the sex with client is some way to build trust within the organization she's trying infiltrate. maybe it's the only way to get that client to invite the MC to a party that she needs to attend in the main story line. or perhaps she needs to collect info on how all these special VIP clients operate/fit into the crime organization shes investigating. it's optional to get some of this intel etc. but maybe the intel helps her later in the main quest with dialogue choices or in her espionage mission because she knows what to expect. like camera placements because she had a gangbang in that place rofl.

I simply like this Game. The Art, the idea of the story and the pictures my fantasy creates, if im reading it.
And im having enough patience to wait for every single update. If its takes weeks or Months, im fine with it. There are enough
games out there, to pastime. The last Point: i can play it for free :D so thx for your work, Crush.

Hey guys! I wanted to be able to report that the scene 6 draft is working in the engine, but it's not quite there, despite my best efforts.
This scene has been so fucking challenging to design and I'm still not sure it will end up as good as it should be. I spent long, long hours this week trying to make it as awesome as I was picturing it in my head, and feeling frustrated and inadequate because I'm not able to do it. But the current design is as good as I can make it.
I'll finish it off next week, and move onto the final two sex scenes in this episode. I'm sorry this is taking so long, I'm working as hard as I can. Progress report
next week.

This HTML element is all you need to make our heroine have abs at any point in the game, simply hit f12, click on the avatar with the picker and add the line as an element and the abs overlay is fitted in place.

As to why this isn't something you can choose to have from the beggining, it's a mystery.

Sadly the element gets overwritten every single time you advance the game or if you customize your character from the game itself. It would be possible (and extremely simple) for the dev to simply add an abs on/off toggle.

I worked on small-time video game projects for years as both a designer and a spriter. The reason why I come to threads like these time and time again is that, from personal experience, I've noticed that a great deal of these games follow the same spiraling pattern of having their ambition crush any hope of delivering a complete product one day. It's even worse when it comes to Patreon-funded projects since the service provides a safety net of money and blind support. Just look at High Tail Hall, for example. Crowchild been making a living off of it for around a decade now and he's barely made any real progress for half of that time. He doesn't have to; his support isn't drying up anytime soon, and neither is Crush's.
Lifeweb contribution sprites don't count as game development experience.

The abs are gained during the lifepath (before you become an agent), if you are athletic in college and join a varsity team. Once the lifepath is linked to the main game, I imagine athletic agents will probably retain their abs.

And maybe other agents could get abs in Bangkok by working out a lot, who knows.

Trying the game..is there any sexual encounter the first day as barmaid? It seems all the choices (how you respond\interact with others and such) don't have any tangible effect.

I don't really remember what happened the first day, but like you said, the game is very linear. So if you didn't encounter any sex scene then there isn't one.

So far none of the choices you make have any major effect other than different dialog. As mentioned, if you didn't see sex, there was no sex.

I think if you don’t playup the sexy barmaid / aren’t flirty with the customers then you get called into the office and someone disciplined you by slapping your behind. So, that’s a different scene based on choices

though the game is years old, we’re still very early on the plot so a lot of potential choices might play out later. For example, the old ex pat who wants to take modeling photos of you, and you can give him your number or not. How nice you are to Roxy, Amanda, etc. we’ll see.

We’ll see in 5 to 6 years, likely. For any other game I’d call it a lost cause. But this one is good enough to check back in on despite the maddeningly sluggish pace.

Yea, I don't have any doubt that the eventual plan is for choices to matter. The fact that you get those "xxxx liked that" or "xxxxx disliked that" messages makes that fairly clear. Just so far it's a very linear text story with slight variations based on choices.

Perhaps I can ask my grandchildren to check on it 50 years from now.

I would still play 1.6.3. The rework is still in the early stages and is very linear.

Basically the only part that is the same is the end of 1.6 and beginning of 1.15
