In fact, Melinda ignores Daniel in the chair for the first few minutes and when she returns to herself she takes the gun and kills Jax.
After killing him she will say these words to Jax's body:
"Death brings Death"
Confused Daniel says, "What do you mean?"
Melinda: Nothing.
The meaning is easy to understand if Jax hadn't threatened Daniel with death, she would never have killed him.
Then after it's all over Melinda tells Daniel:
"I hope that after what you have seen you will not look at me with different eyes"
Daniel: No, don't worry.

why this update is named Foot Of The Mountains II V1.0 and not V13.0 ??? better finish FOTM I game and build new game with Melinda as mom and new name !

I think it would be more fun if the next game was with Melinda and her son from the MC of Fotm 1.

Reading some of the arguments here and to be honest I look at it from the point of view that Melinda is the only person Daniel's actively pursuing. Most everyone else are basically throwing themselves at him. (hypocritical yes) Thats how my conscience sleeps at night . Parts of the game are still on of sync with relationship levels at this point. And some dead ends really need filling in.
