Just from Milfy City thread, Mac version not working there as well on Catalina, to play the game they're advicing installing windows with bootcamp.

Um...no, they're not. The Mac version of MC 0.6b was broken in 2 ways. They're fixed in 0.6c.

As I understand it, Catalina is the real issue for most people. It deprecated 32-bit code, so you can't execute it anymore (natively).

Ren'Py has been 64 bit for a long time. Catalina's drop of 32 bit code is an issue, but not for Ren'Py games.

You know, when this question first came up, i had some thought to answer something like "use virtual machine with windows" but even i thought that it was really dumb. What the problem to install windows 10 without any preformance loss just for games? Seriously, when i needed Sketch i ran virtual machine with Hackintosh on it. It helped me a lot during my work.
But virtual machine not ment for gameplay and hackintosh is really crappy when you try to install it on pc with amd processor, or even amd video card. Bootcamp on the other hand an official apple software for installing windows 10, there would be NO problems. And it would be 100% enough for RenPy games.
I replied solely on my expirience and the idea that bootcamp really might help.

The problem is your machine is now running Windows instead of MacOS. Not very useful for people who want to have a Mac. "Install bootcamp" is not a good fix for Mac issues; it was thrown out by a Windows guy doing a backhanded slam on Macs.

You have the hardware to play, you see that mac version is crushed, but you still want to play the game. Why is it so important to play it on mac when you still will play on your machine, just from Windows? Just to have Mac? Again, that is stupid logic.
I see every update comments about mac, like "when it will be" or " nothing is working", so what the fucking problem? You really sound like a madman now, you know it right?

I've just made the Italian translation of "Freeloading Family" version 0.21. I corrected many inaccuracies but there are still some.

The folder pointed to by the link contains ALL the translations performed for the game. You need to download ONLY the one for your version.
The .rar file of the translation respects the following rules: XXX000yIta.rar where XXX=Acronym of the game, 000=Version, y=Revision (if any).

Installation:
1) Delete ALL *.rpy files in the "game" folder and in all its sub-folders. IMPORTANT: The *.rpy files are not included in all versions of the game.
2) Copy the .rar file for your version to the game's "game" folder.
3) Unzip the files in this folder. You need to unpack with the EXTRACT HERE action, answering YES to any overwrite request.
4) An error may appear during the first run of the game. It's normal. Just close the game and restart it.

This translation includes additional commands to get back in the game and other useful options.

It's a porn game. You don't play porn game in public places. I'm absolutely sure that you can live with the inconvenience connecting you macbook to AC, not talking about Mac.
And yes, your Mac made of the same hardware as normal pc, if it was constructed shitty(and now I'm talking about heating system problems on all macbooks, that's make it impossible to run 9x Intel processor without overheating), so there is no such thing as "bad optimization" in windows, it's the problem of macbooks construction, and I'm absolutely sure that there no such proem on stationary Mac.

I'm assuming that he wants to play the game, on his Mac. Not play it on Windows. Otherwise he'd get Windows. He wants the Mac version to work, not install a different OS to play a game that should work equally as well on all supported platforms.

If i wanted a powerhouse, i would have bought a workstation, but yes i've opted for Stability, Design, Low Noice instead of instability and crappy software. I do have Parallels running windows, but i prefer not to use it, i want to enjoy my porn in silence . But i deal with the lack of compatibility, but that dosen't prevent me from pointing out, that the Devs needs to meet all of their userbase if they want to be successful. And also, that 64bit is here to stay and have been for more than a decade. Only Apple are willing to sacrifice crappy software in the name of a good experience. We saw it first with flash, nobody have been missing that piece of ass software ever since. But anyhow, i have been able to get it to work on Native Catalina.

When I entered on Freeloading Family I thought the same, but the development of the characters and their relations (especially the big trio Alice, Leah and Melody) with the MC are the true shine of the game.

Only at the beginning, you either get submissive bdsm scene or domination. Also during first date with Alice you forced to choose different dialog lines to make date "perfect", but it des not provide variative scenes. I advice you play what you like, and then check missed pictures in gallery.
