I mean, they've literally just had one of their 4 person team be sick, they are working at the game the bottleneck is art and animation at this point, because big shock these things take fucking time and they have a tiny team and don't really want to bring in new people for a variety of reasons. They actually did bring on a second programmer to solve that particular bottleneck, and some sound effects creators too.

They've actually asked for people to help them so they can pick up speed and so far not many people have responded. The 20$ backing being for the game itself is something you can opt into on the months they release an update, and otherwise just drop down to the 1$ or 5$ level and you'll still see all the updates to what is going on.

Now personally I do think they're mismanaging the money a bit by commissioning a bunch of work from various artists but that's what people want, and the money they get from the Patreon is only being spent on the game, as all of them have other jobs they do for living expenses.

The game is not a scam, it's just slow development because of problems with their work system that they've hopefully ironed out, and things like Game Maker being shit for this weren't immediately obvious until they discovered how their animations were eating shit on it.

Game Development of any sort takes a lot of time effort and money, you cannot have a game that is fast good and cheap to make, so right now it's slow, good and semi-expensive and that's probably okay.

ight let me chime in on this mess. first off i have supported these devs in the past. but one of the big issues in general and this is something ive noticed with animators and porn game devs; you need to catch on to a scam before it becomes a problem. i supported breading season before its meltdown and watched as a game i had so much involvement in fail spectacularly. for me majalis is the best example of this genre, not the standard but the exception in this situation. both majalis and futadom are making very similar games just set in different time periods; where futadom trying to make a very nobodyinparticular style universe of futas running the world. both have art stories and romance options. where futadom tries to be a dating sim with rape in it, tales of androgyny is a fantasy rpg with rape in it.

my issue is that tales of androgyny seems to have more work put into it and even has a battle mechanic in the game. yet the dating sim takes months to do. this sounds like a scam and smells like it too. i feel bad for the other patreon supporters; i was lucky to catch on fast in the first month. love it or hate it the game schedule is too slow. i dont know if they have to commission every piece of art and that is what is taking time, compared to majalis where the artist works directly with the game itself. that might be the issue because the game is a colab of 4 artist; but that just reminds me of how breeding season created the hole for itself with the monster roster.

the one thing i love most is that the game is at the 20 $ tier; majalis doesnt even have it that close i started with them at 5 and raised it to 10 when i felt more satisfied with the release scedule.

So you make a account but don't bother reading previous posts, instead proceed to start making baseless accusations.
Sounds legit... :tf:

They don't commission every piece of art, all the main story artworks, the dates etc, are by the xxxx52 who is on the dev team, the commission is for all the side/shadow art. I personally think it's a waste of time too given the quality has been, variable, on those arts and often it's very easy to notice the shifts.

The problem really is they all have lives outside this game and can't really live on the money this game makes to put effort full time, compounded with the fact they made some bad choices early on they've hit this stumbling block which they've hopefully straightened out.

If you don't want to support them fine, but this isn't a scam. Also Majalis have devoted their full time into making their game and do basically nothing else, abandoning all other work to make the game. There is a difference.

I do agree that the $20 price point for the early version is ridiculous, but the developers are not bothered and in fact fully understand why people might drop the payment to the $5 if not $1 tier until they make a release, and because the game is always made free a month later it isn't massively a problem to drop to a lower tier anyway, you get everything but the game at 5 and basically everything at 1.

They're doing their best, this is most certainly not a scam, I have interacted with most of the developers on Discord or in their Patreon and they're legitimately sorry about the time they've taken and are hoping that now they've fixed the problems they didn't even know they would have they can pick up production.

Myself and jjhuf have posted it in short on the previous page. They're basically aiming for Rye Part 1 in september, it's coming with 4 more animations and a lot of art and sound effects etc.

They already said what to expect: 4 scenes and the minigame. That way i don't see myself getting hyped or disappointed.

Early September or late?

Also, I heard a few months back that good puppyplay content was planned (not the shitshow with that psycho murderer bitch). Any patron knows if any of that is in the foreseeable future?
