We are going to be cleaning this thread up. It has been a dumpster fire for way too long. We will be heavily enforcing the use of the off topic thread LINK. As such, any discussion that is not about the CURRENT game, will be removed. Bashing the dev, its development hell, conspiracies, etc are all off topic.
Thread will be locked during this cleaning process.

The comments that you're cleaning up ARE about the current game.

Trying to hide how much of a dumpster fire this project is by deleting complains about missed deadlines isn't doing anybody any favours.

What could possibly be more on-topic in a wip game thread than comments about the game's development?

This just feels dishonest, to be frank.

Otherwise I'd have stayed gone.

Those were separate demos released years ago that are now heavily outdated. The fire demo you played was the newest 'unpolished' demo that is meant to show off a fuckton of dialogue inappropriate for an action platformer the new systems and databanks that have been added in over the last eight years or so of development. You might find the old demo links by using the search function for the thread and looking for them, but keep in mind that aside from the enemy animations and most of the porn content outside of zany and hilarious NPC interactions, most of everything else would have been changed and updated.

So I spent a while looking back, and I was wrong- he didnt say he would refund if it doesnt come out in 2023, it said he would refund if the game didnt come out "successfully".

You might have been remembering the time he said that it was the last, final delay the game would ever have, and if he didn't submit it by the given date, the game would be released for free.

As stated earlier by others, The game is complete (99.9% done) It's just that you would have to look for every single demo they put out to play the different stages. Don't bother, just wait one more month and we should HOPEFULLY be able to play the game. I barely touched the demo years ago and decided to just wait.

(Just realized my old comments were deleted, I wasn't even bashing the developer. I am quite supportive, just kind of disappointed. What left is there to talk about, the Demo?)

Hmm... A shame that this game will never come out, but it was to be expected given the author political leanings on their twitter page (I couldn't find anything else there).

You know Hentaiwriter's political leanings? Is he part of Republican party of Texas or something? May I know what did he preached in Twitter?
How would that affect whether the game will come out or not?

Okay, enough, I talked to HW a bit, and I will take what he said to me as simply the truth and delete my comment which added nothing to the conversation. The game will come out when it's ready.

edit: What I wrote was barely a comment and more so a shit-post that I made with a vague memory I had from 1.5 years ago, so I was asked what was up with that, for those who wanted to know.

HW posted an update in the Discord; the game is still not approved for release, and HW is still choosing to delay the release of the game 2-3 weeks after it is approved - this time less for dodging the Steam sale for an early Jan release and more to "both generate keys and bugtest".

The absolute earliest we get the game is lateish-January if HW holds true to 2-3 weeks but would not be surprised for the Feb announcement at this rate

they told us, they have been doing progress reports for a good while. all the scenes are in and most to all critical bugs are fixed. this is from the developer them self a bi weekly report. it isn't merely assuming like some others have. they literally were not able to submit the game to steam until it was ready...and they had around 2 weeks of further time to work on it up to today.

if it somehow still isn't done,what is anyone suppose to think?

I can't stop you guys from not believing us but HW has nothing to do with us deleting posts. Sure he spams reports or opens tickets asking us to handle things. Its a 50/50 chance that we will do something. The recent cleanup that I started was due to a discussion we had in our staff chat and about how we need to handle dumpster fire threads like this, a little heavier.

Believe what you want, but none of us are paid by devs. I really wish I could quick my day job and handle dev drama.

Anyways back on topic.
