What is even missing if the release date was the 22nd last month and it reads "Completed" and "v1.01" right here, how long is this going to keep going?

I mean to be fair for anyone reading this I have a question.

When did you stop actually reading skyrim books or baldur's gate 3 books?

I mean some are barely a page. I stopped pretty early if I'm honest. It's not how I want my lore really. I was able to piece together through occasional dialogue in my time at portia, that sandrock is past the desert(which is in both games) and there's 5 "free cities" with open trade and they could very well make this massive open world game at some point.

to retort my question, those computer dialogues even though voiced, go for pages and pages. it is too much and I think it's just some complaining half the time rather than centered on story.
Even if you never read a book in Skyrim or BG3, they're still fundamentally better than what FF does for one key reason: they're diagetically contextualized. To put it in perspective, books in those games exist under the pretense that they're just there; they weren't made for you, specifically, to read and are instead understandable as being excerpts from a book that someone might actually read in that universe.

FF on the other hand is firmly in "expository vomit" territory: it doesn't exist independently of the player, and is instead largely contextualized by whatever knowledge (or more often, dad humor) it can impart upon you. This is why, as an example, it can destroy the immersion in a game when you find scrawlings in blood on a wall with a password, or diary entries from people describing their own death as though they were writing even as they were being ripped apart. Those kinds of things only make sense insofar as they convey something directly to the player, and would otherwise be utterly absurd from the perspective of a character in the game.

This is, of course, not to say BG3 or Skyrim are without a lot of examples of the bad kind, but that the majority of reading material in their worlds at least attempts to make sense in the context of the player character's perspective. FF just slaps rambling explanations of the exact nature of something or someone you encounter onto random, out-of-the-way terminals that have no reason to contain said explanations, and which make zero sense being used by anyone given their placement. It's just hilarious how hard HW seems to try to make their world feel "lived in" while completely failing to recognize that you can't really do that in a 2D platformer where there are random collections of monsters and dudes just roaming a small room for eternity, existing for no other purpose than to fight you.

v1 has a bug at last boss and I couldn't complete game. 1.01 fixed some bugs so its technically complete but not polished/fully voiced etc.
And to be honest I'm not sure if this game deserve more dev time to complete. Its not a bad game but bad story and adult game.

After playing it myself, the jungle area just feels insanely unfinished. Empty spots everywhere for nonexistent npcs, no dialogue or cutscene for any defeat scene or the any part of the boss sequnce, and worst of all you literally cannot find Faye getting fucked anywhere in the entire area to get the achievement and save her if you want to. What's particularly insulting is that all the logs are fully implemented instead with voices and all the placements - why that dev time couldn't have been used to just finish the area, I don't know. God knows what the final area will be like if this one is as bad as it is, and it's a shame too when considering the actual quality through the first three areas.

Good game for the h content and the completed metroidvania puzzles, but it has major problems. I don't really have anything to say about the grievances with the development time and stuff, I just learned of this game recently. I think it's greatly flawed but the *completed* content it has is really good.

I think the gameplay suffered a lot in the second half. It progressively got harsher and harsher.. and level design went haywire (intentionally i guess).
I had to use the tip of cat mask+charm+pie to cheese the last boss who is just insanely overtuned.
I think a lot of the databank stuff is also a huge miss. A lot of the accessorys are pretty bad, but some were very nice to use. Post-forest area it really fell off in terms of the world feeling full. No more npc's (also not the best system.. quests?)

I *really* hope they update the gallery to show all the h content. It was sad beating it and then seeing it wasn't all available. I just can't force myself to play through the final glitch zones again, the gameplay got very tough and I don't know what I missed.

Decided to try out the finished game and the overt "Yes this is totally consensual and everyone is totally happy" is hilariously bad.

Like, aside from completely changing the context to something less interesting, it's also just not really well written; you can really feel Patreon looming over their shoulder with how heavy handed the are trying to sell the consensual part.

A bit of a shame too, I remember the earlier demos content being decent.
At least the there's still the sprite content.

I have a counterpoint to 2D platformers not feeling lived in, but I suspect my post will get blammed away for referencing not Future Fragments. The world could very much have been better planned. The whole first level is effectively a coal mine with slave labor. How hard would it have been to have task masters sicing their braindead workers on you, or for you to encounter a lust driven alcove of runaways? I know there's an argument somewhere about Patreon, but then, just move onto Subscribestar.

But, a certain sourjelly did a phenomenal job with their game in this regard, and that project started around the same time FF did, and completed years ago.

Hilariously I made the exact same reference and comment half a year ago during the final fire demo

I've always been a fan of environmental story telling, for example in anthophobia I remember there was a barricaded room with a single normal zombie inside, after killing it you could discover in back of the room a tape? which contained the man's last words while also providing lore to the world, it was fantastic. I contrast that with this where you have a silver databank in a hole telling of a guy who died or a battle that took place and thats it. At very least could add a body or something.
Unrelated to all of this when this game first released the dev asked or said they believed they could fix a lot of the bugs/missing content within a month/4 weeks I couldn't find the post but I did find this message from another user so I know I'm at least not crazy. (This message was posted on Feb 25th)

To give you a quick overview of the current state of the game, due to some internal delays and Steam preventing the moving of a game's release date once it's set the game launched with some story content, cutscenes and voicework missing. This content is already finished but it will take some time to be implemented into the game. Hentaiwriter has stated that he suspects he'll need about 4 weeks to add in everything whilst also fixing bugs.
I decided "alright I'm not really in a rush to play anyway, I've waited 9 years I can come back to this in a month from now when it's complete", so a lil more than a month passes and I decide to check up on the game and see it's progress so I can give it a proper play, after digging around a bit I find this post on the steam forums.

Y'know I'm not really sure what I expected. I'm not out here calling him a liar... but what I will say is despite being bedridden, in and out of urgent care, and absolutely doped up on 4 different medicines his average response time to someone posting on that community steam forums is within 1 hour. I challenge you all to go to the steam forums, and click on a random discussion post and see how long it takes him to reply to a post. The most I found was 4-5 hours. But mostly stuff within 30-60 minutes. I get it, he's bedridden with nothing better to do, but it's astonishing how little his posting behavior changes despite being hospitalized lol.

I won't be one to call him a liar, but I have to ask if his team engages in recreational doorknob licking, I see a 4 year old and 6 year old niece every month who I'm quite sure DO engage in recreational doorknob licking, and I get deliberating illness less often than this team.

Anyway moving on from that "we've decided to do patches less often, but have them be much larger patches as we found people didn't know the difference between 1.00 and 1.01" yes I'm sure that's the reason. I'm not saying his reasoning is wrong, just that I don't think that's his only reason for deciding to do patches less often :p.

The end level map reworks is probably a good change, there's been quite a bit of complaints there. But yeah, most important thing people will overlook is his choice of words "patches" and "upcoming patch" which implies there will be more needed to fix all the content and stuff that was suppose to be in this game on release. Buckle up kiddo's we're in for another year of development. Maybe the game will be finished by it's 10th birthday.

While I was searching for info on the new patch I spotted this exchange on his itch.io blog page. Does anyone else think it's weird to pay money for a bundle which contains free games/demos? Like I'm sure there were actual games that cost money in the bundle, but if you are spending money to buy a bundle, it's not an unreasonable expectation for said bundle to contain things that cost money right? Including free games/demos feels deceptive way of "increasing the value" of the bundle. Doing a bit of sleuthing I believe this is the bundle in question after doing some basic math if you were to separately buy every game in this bundle it would cost you exactly 38~$ if you ignored sales going on for any of these games. The bundle itself cost 40$. Anyone else think this is weird?

LMAO. The year is 2024 and FF is still polishing and releasing demo's.

It'd have been weird if it was hosted on another platform, but it's normal to put demos on Itch.io bundles. It's even more common than Steam banning porn games because a character is too short

Fair enough then, I wasn't sure if it was normal for itch.io to do that. Though the fact that the bundle is 40$ and everything in the bundle adds up to about 40$ is really weird to me isn't the point of a bundle to get a bunch of games cheaper than you would having bought them individually thus resulting in you buying a game you might not of otherwise bought? That's the thing I think is really bothering me the most, I can't figure out why anyone in their right mind would buy this bundle let alone 324 people the only reason I can think of is it being deceptive with it's actual value? "ooo you're getting 11 games" even though half are free.

I've been searching for a while now, but I can't find the infected rebel in the earth world or a way to save Vie from the cube enemy in the last world. I've gone through every room. Are these not implemented, glitched, or am I missing something?

so safe too assume i can delete the previous versions?
No. For an example of why not, you can dig back a few pages for one of my posts and see them butcher a scene I liked in the release. Keep all demos if you actually enjoy anything in them. They might decide to arbitrarily remove things.

There are a number of scenes in extracted gallery I was unable to find in game, please tell me were I can find these scenes. Thanks in advance. View attachment 3503877 View attachment 3503878 View attachment 3503879 View attachment 3503880 View attachment 3503881
unrelated, sorry, but seeing top hat guy reminded me of that ridiculous scene.
"Good day madam! I seem to be penetrating you from the rear, if I do say so myself!"

Think him and bat demon are in the fire zone. Demon being an enemy encounter and dapper gent being a talk man.

Yeah ud have to save right before and then just reload

Depends, a lot got removed in the final update, would help if you could narrow it down by level as thats how the demos came out
Might have to hit you up for some of the older versions and or saves if you have any some time =), please..or if anyone has any of them.

I am close to finishing the game, I was defending it because i was playing the first levels. But uh. 2 of the last levels are basically betas. Like the rooms are all empty. There's enemies? But the scenes aren't even all there.
I have some doubts that it is this difficult to finish the game. I understand slow progress...

But is it weirdly unfinished? Like shockingly? Yes. If you charged me 20$ for a game like this, would I pay? Uh it's a bit on the edge. Do I care how long it took to get to this point? Not really, since again it's not like I paid them by the month (maybe others did). I obviously wanted them to finish it fast so i could play it.

I would not really say that this game is finished, as much as I want to enjoy it.

But if someone understands game development i would love to know if hw's progress is actually a liiiiiiiiittle bit slow.. in a suspicious way. No point flaming the author since I haven't even checked up on the game's history, but simply put, it's pretty damn weird how the progress looks. Although what would change my mind is if someone who does game dev says 'it's fucked' and here's why.

Anyway kids, if you use patreon in the future, be sure to use a Privacy card so you don't forget it's on. moral of the story.

Go play lorrain by Octopussy and give her (i think) your money. Seems super friendly, committed, respectful.

its crazy, what was even added since the demos? since the first attempted "release" on steam. imo they just tried to replace the noncon stuff and were deadset on getting it fully voice acted rather than actually finishing the base game
