The story started with MC and Maxime being in a two-year long affair, so considering that if you don't like her because of how she is intoxicated by mc, then you are gonna hate every LI because in two-year game time, they are gonna be all like her. Thats the one of the main points of the game.

Astofiel set the MC on the path of creating a devoted follower base. This does not necessarily mean the rest of the game will be about the MC doing that - and only that - exactly as ordered.

But even if the game is entirely about building a devoted harem, there's plenty of room for followers who still have a measurable personality and the occasional thought that doesn't involve the MC. If turning Meredith into another Maxime is indeed the point of the game then I will definitely be disappointed.

Speaking my thoughts exactly. I get it's a corruption game, but I feel like it was setting up a path for more romance/love interests not being solely devoted to sex. Instead it kinda feels like you're turning them into "willing" sex dolls and just being nice about it. I commented about this before but that Maxime dinner scene was a let down for me because it could have so easily expanded on her character, but instead just jumped to more sex.

I do like the game don't get me wrong, so right now I'm hoping it's just a strong start in the sex aspect and once the harem is more established it will explore their characters beyond a sexual light. (Insert copium here).

I completely get your point, but the premise of the game at this point is that MC needs to get powerful fast because of the upcoming war and having followers like Maxime is the fastest way, so I think the first few LI will probably follow the same path. As I mentioned, in Maxime's case we didnt get to see the two-year long progression.
Maybe once MC grows stronger he could mask some of his influence without losing his power, that could be an offramp that the Dev could take. The game is at a very early stage so there is lots of possibilities.

I love Maxime. Magically enchanted or not. But regardless it kinda feels wrong(feels cheap) to make people fall in love with magic. But I get that we have no other options. So I do hope after certain getting to a certain point we can make people fall in love the old way; without magic or such.

Any woman we spend time with...will start to fall under our influence, regardless...we're a demon. We also need them to volutarily submit and worship us (as Maxine chose to do) in order for us to gain in power and succeed.

That possibility and her being the only one (at least until now) that we can have a "non magical/(demon powers?) fuckery" relationship with is one of the many reason shes my favorite. Oh and also all of her and the MC's supposed illustrious past

I disagree. The MC's nature is very much an open question, at least for the moment.

It seems clear he is a demon, but we know there's a lot more to his past than Astofiel and Julia have revealed. We're also told the MC can survive and thrive in a condition that a demon shouldn't be able to. It's not unreasonable to think the MC doesn't work as advertised, in which case he might be able to draw power from his LIs in ways that don't involve converting them to sex toys. There's certainly no guarantee it will play out this way, but there is some support for the idea within the game. I'm hoping for the best, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Also, as an aside, I don't understand why "voluntary" consent matters. If demons slowly intoxicate humans by their very nature then any consent given by a worshipper is by definition invalid. Maybe Asotfiel is just used to fighting a propaganda war with the angels and thus reflexively puts a partisan spin on everything?

Wow this game is something else! I initially only played a little bit when it first came out because the paranormal and demon stuff, but just today I gave it another chance and even with the management element of the point system I still really enjoyed it. Normally that alone would have me ready to quit but it's really well implemented within the game dynamics. I can see from other comments that I'm not the only one who wishes we could avoid Max but overall this is still really great.
