It's been a while since I've tried this game - there's been a massive leap in content since last time. The direction and potential are much clearer now and I'm enjoying myself so far. No crashes yet!

A couple of points of feedback:
1. I find the text hard to read. It's too small and the light blue headers don't contrast well with the grey background, though that might just be my cheap laptop screen.
2. The Fame mechanic seems really unbalanced atm. When I hired staff for all the available positions my clinic's fame went from +50 to -30 in a few weeks and it's still plummeting. This was with staff with the highest available attributes, so I'm considering sacking them all
3. I'm not sure why the server guy's medical knowledge negatively impacts his job. I have enough doctors that patients shouldn't have to ask IT support for a consultation. "Have you tried turning it off and then on again?"...

DEVLOG: Scripting sex scenes is Hard

No pun intended in the title.

General Practitioner is not a porn game, rather it being a life simulator where choices really matter in the daily events that occur.

Still, it does have an adult content in it (unless you disabled it in the Settings menu of course), and that needs to have its own script like every other gameplay element.

Creating a realistic sex scene is very difficult, even more than creatic a very dramatic or fiction scene, because each one of us has different experiences with sex and that causes to have different expectations as well.

When writing a sex scene you always risk to make it feel too cliché, like a bad porn movie, or to make it feel too polite as the very opposite of that. Sex if fun, sex is weird, sex is messy. Mixing those elements in the game isn't a small feat and tapping into one own's experiences doesn't always help.

So what I try each time I write something sex-related is to try and figure out what would mean to have sex with people so different from one another. Erika, Elisa, Rita, Christina, Aaron each have very different characters, they are more or less experienced, they had many different partners or not, so their own expectations will likely be different so are their reaction to your own doing.

That's why you'll find harsh language in sex scenes with someone and maybe nothing of the kind with another one. One could shily ask you to join her in your room while another one could tear your clothes apart right where you stand.

There is also the problem of writing dozens of sex scenes with the same person and that's time consuming and might cause unnecessary repetitions which could bore the player. But that's a discussion for our next devlog.

Your game play outside of the sex is great but your sex scenes from before were very lack luster, I have not played since v14 or maybe even 12 or 13 but the sex was not all that great.

More sex scenes with a little bit of animations would do your game justest.
If you can not do animations then do a series of screen shots with just as the penis enters then 1/4 the way in then 1/2 the way in and 3/4 then full and allow it to go on until the player choose to cum either inside or outside.
Using 5 screen shots going in and the same 5 shots going out then repeat as many times as the player wants would be great.

Here is a great example of what I am talking about but its only 3 shots but can go on and on and on as many times as the player wants.
just keep clicking the arrow and you will see it, fast or slow its the players choice.

The game was never intended to be so hardcore to show genital insertion and such, apart from rare exceptions (i.e. Elisa) that are more hardcore it always tends to be softcore (that's also why I don't understand why sites as lewdgames still catalog my game as "Porn Game" while it is quite clear it isn't.

I'm not that much into including hardcore scenes. Of course sex/adult scenes are present, will be present and more will be included as well, but that's not the main goal of the game and I never presented it that way if you have a look at the very first posts here

The game play is already great for the main part its the sex scenes that are lackluster, you need at least 1 hardcore sex scene for each girlfriend.
You can have all the softcore sex scenes you want but without a few hardcore sex scenes the game becomes boring and will not draw players to repeat the game over and over again.

Your game is more R rated porn game than X rated if that helps, it still has porn scenes in it.

Gallery is still work in progress, right now you only get access to a dozen pictures.

It ends after the hug/kiss scene with her.
That's the Main Story for the game, it will end in more updates.

quick question, started a new game and didn't choose to spend time with elisa also didn't make her girlfriend and obviously didn't have sex with her but the choices and consequence chapter still happened...shouldn't the conversation be different then if that is really the normal sequence of events? i shouldn't be concerned about her pregnancy since i have nothing to do with her, right? i likewise noticed that during elisa's flashback with her confrontation with her husband and his lover the names don't match, they call her sandra but the name that appears is serena

Sandra/Serena is a typo, sorry about that.

As for the event, it still happens in fact (she is pregnant and concerned about it since she's splitting up with Greg) and turn to the MC since he's one of the few friends she has. You have nothing to do with the pregnancy of course but you still interact with her regardless (choices will matter of course).

Yes. And I meant Random Exams in row. For example 1 per 2 hours. But only for limited time. Until player turns it off to continue normal Story Mode or Vanilla Mode. Or until it automatically turn off when New Patient appears.

Or maybe a button which will create one random exam to do if there's nothing else to do?

I think it's worth of a try. Making a stand-alone random medical examinations creating machine. Separate from other parts of game, creating only Random Medical Examinations...

The game clearly states when a picture is unlocked. After that you can click on "Gallery", then "Chapters" and see the pictures. There are more than one category for the gallery.

When a RE appears you always have the option to play or skip it with no penalties, so a button would be pretty useless. Random exams already appear when there's nothing else to do, but only children and teen are implemented right now, but when other age groups will be ready random exams will always appear.

As for the last point, there already are random exams separate from other parts of the game, creating only RME: in Exam mode you can choose "Random" and play endless exams.
