What does Glamour try to download if you do not block it via firewall? Is it dangerous?
Depends on which version you're using, and it's nothing dangerous per-se.

The one from here is the Offline Client, which doesn't download anything.
The Online Client will download the newest available content, which will only be playable with a valid Patreon account that's a supporter of a sufficient tier for that content. It also stores saves on a server, instead of on your own machine.


Despite numerous reports to remove that outdated/obsolete warning, it never gets done.

Actually the offline does run a version check to see if you have the latest version and it is supposed to download and update if you don't. But I think most people just re-download the whole thing because the auto update is unreliable at best. The version check is why admins won't remove the warning.
