I have a problem :

I have looged in to the game with patreon and now the game considers version as 0.15 which doesnt lets me play last update(0.16)
The game shows me that at the chracter selection :

during the last year of BB he had clearly lost all interest in the game and was probably not putting in more than one week of work into the 'updates' which took forever. maybe it was burnout or maybe he's just the type who never follows through with anything (he's never finished a game yet), but it certainly had nothing to do with patreon's crackdown on incest because he lost steam so long before that already. it was a miracle he didn't abandon the game a year before already. we see this all the time and most games stop going anywhere after the first 3 updates, even when they're not abandoned.

well, maybe not a miracle. he just put in the bare minimum to keep the crazy amount of donations rolling. which is kinda understandable. could YOU step away from a project you hate if it's making you tens of thousands every month? it's a hard decision to make, and I think patreon just gave him the excuse to pull the trigger for good.

so he made the decision to abandon big brother fully knowing that it'll probably kill his cash flow, but he did it anyway. that shows he had VERY strong feelings against continuing it. he effectively paid 20K a month to be allowed to stop making it. he's never going back.

Thanks a lot for sharing this. I had no idea and it makes me very sad. BB was one of my first games and it kinda feels like im losing a girlfriend right now. All those unique ideas and depraved moments the game had, its such a shame.

In my opinion the least he could do is make everything open source and put it on github or something, so if anyone ever wanted to continue the game they would be able to.

Also if Eric doesn't come in the picture we're gonna save a lot of time too.

It's not going faster.This is the second update for Max.And we don't realy have that much content.Actualy they didn't have time to add almost half of the planned content for Max.There is no peeking and punishment,the gifting we did in BB 0.2 is also not in the game.We don't even have something so simple as Max sunbating or in the pool.
I realy hope that for next update for Max they realy will spend at least a full month.With 20 days for update we certainly won't reach BB 0.13 in next 3 years.

I know many people didn't like Eric, but he gave the whole grind a certain justification. Keep those stats on your girls up or he's gonna steal them away!
After you got rid of him in the original game, the grind became ever the more obvious and tedious. There was no urgency to slave for stats. Instead it became a simple grind for (game)days - weeks to get one more pretty tame sex scene.

If DS doesn't plan to add Eric, I hope he has some other catalyst he can throw in there.

With the way he update the game we don't need any catalyst.No more than 4 updates for Max per year.I am afraid that Liza will still be virgin even in 4 years.

It definitely would if they'd switch to alternating months, as opposed to the 2 Kate 1 Max schedule, but there's also going to be Max at college to do, let alone the new cafe content and probably others that weren't a part of the original BB content.

Assuming that those take place before the post-Eric content of BB, then that's still going to take a relatively long time.



He's already in the picture. He exists in the game, he's been mentioned by name.

If you have a problem of being stuck in the loading screen.
Try putting it on the C drive.
I had the problem when i had it on E: When I put it on my desktop it worked fine.

That I can't save makes this game almost unbearable.

Yesterday I play Glamour for 2 hours being MAX story and than I find stuck at home....
computer only learning EPAY and PORN locked...How can I use the EPAY?
I have a question ...Is Glamour few about MAX and more about Kate?

That depends on what you're playing it for. For those that enjoyed the Max route, probably not. And probably never will be. But a quick search using Latest Updates will give you plenty of games that are similar and I suggest BB fans go there. Even restricting down to just Unity and Ren'Py, I get 12 pages of Male Protag Incest games. Can't say if they are any good though, it's not my thing, and also off-topic.

If you play for the Kate route, then the Veronica content is fun. I don't particularly play the strip poker mini-game, but DS is clearly setting the tension up well. Are you playing 0.16 offline? Because for Patrons, 0.17 is out and 0.18 may drop next week, where DS appears to be starting the real plot for Glamour.

check out the BB fan art thread, there are people doing exactly that through renders, mods, and I think I've even seen a couple of people making their own continuation to the game.

BB had some weaknesses, but it also got a lot of things right. the tease, the tension, the infuriating enemy eric, the stern mom. a lot of the people who dismiss it or try to make their own copycat game fail to understand those aspects, they think BB was just a room clicker with a douchy protagonist. and that's why their games can't make tens of thousands a month.

what pains me though is that it could've been so much better with a very small effort. the sex scenes were awful, cold, mechanical. and all the interactions were so cold, I don't think any of the characters touched each other once except to grab a dick. there was always this lack of warmth that told DS had no interest in it. (he also said many times that he doesn't get the incest fetish at all).

Just downloaded and installed the 0.16 offline version. It doesn't show the saves from 0.15 version. Both are offline versions, I know where the saves are saved, files are there. Anyone knows how to fix this? TIA

Not quite.
The Offline versions come with an extra program called GlamourServer that emulates the server, basically tricking the game into thinking it's being played normally.
It doesn't work with the normal Online Only version though.

I've tried downloading this game several times (by several I mean maybe 4) in the past. After I assume that it is done and the contents had been extracted to the desired location. I would go to open it only to find that the one certain .exe file that launches the game is nowhere to be found.
So yesterday I see that there was an update. So I thought hmm why not try again.
So I downloaded it...again. I then chose my destination folder to extract the files. I started sometime yesterday afternoon. It kept extracting overnight and when I got up today around the crack of noon the progress was maybe at 20% extracted.
And suddenly to add insult to injury it just totally closed out.
I guess I just wasn't meant to try this game.

The missing exes might have been the handiwork of your antivirus system. Antivirus software can often consider cracks as malware and quarantine them.

I'm having some weird, although small, problems with the offline 16 version. For some reason it doesn't seem to remember the options correctly or save my outfit choices when leaving wardrobe. Is this a general problem with the cracked version or is my antivirus/firewall/something the culprit? I downloaded the nopy version and it extracted fine and seemed to work, but in addition to the aforementioned oddities some dialogs activated in wrong places. Also the windowed version had some problems. The game is playable especially in full screen, but if it's a problem with this version, I'd rather wait.

The normal version, is the Online Only version. That's how this game started, and it is absolutely a form of DRM, and particularly anti-consumer at that.
The Offline versions only started this year, and it is behind in released content (was by two versions, currently just under 2 with 0.18 releasing soon for the highest tier of patronage) and always will be until completed... or abandoned.

Alleycat you are a better person than me, I could never be a mod, I'd lose my shit with the repetative questions all the time. Especially when the answer is on the same page or one previous or has been answered in the OP.

Personaly I love this game, and I really like the idea of combining BB/Max and Kate into one game. To be far I never played BB before this. I tried it a few weeks ago to see what all the fuss was about and quit it pretty soon.

I never identify with the character so playing male or female protag is nothing to me, actually i prefer female where i feel like I'm corrupting her and Kate model is smoking hot, probably my favourite at the moment.

I'd love to see Kate being able to shag anyone in the game, but not that it would be required to move the story on, but just the option should she (you) like.

Intersting, thx a lot. I love how much insight you have and how you pay attention to the details. I totally agree with you, BB did a lot of things right and i personally think that the grind aspect was an essential aspect of them game too. And to be honest i loved the sex scenes too especially for their naive way.
