If you play on a small monitor, no.
If you got a large monitor/resolution the HD-pack removes a lot of visible compression artifacts.

I'm running the the game on a 23.8" monitor through a HDMI cable and the differences are incredibly minor in the two images you posted at least.

Yep, still pretty minor. I can notice some things but just a bit here and a bit there.

Glassix 0.1 was released March 7th, 2016. So maybe at that point it was the most up to date HS available that was used.
