I'd rather have the triple release in this case, since I'm mainly interested in the elf waifu and beasts routes, and I want to see how the lack of a great soundtrack affects the game asap.
Also disappointed that the routes seem to be completely separate instead of intertwined.

edit: You realize facepalming every one of my posts, for no reason, just gives me free likes, right?

I don't think this game is "all" soundtrack.
It may definitely feel different but I do not believe the game is being what it is sole because of the music.

I'd also like triple releases too, they provide less wait time between updates, gives time to process and analyze the content.

On another note... let's be real... do you really care about the likes on a porn forum?

Well, the game is mostly carried by its story and setting, but soundtrack can make a big difference.
Games like NieR, Undertale, Stardew Valley, etc, probably wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable and successful, if they used generic free adult VN soundtracks.

Also: Making a meaningless number go up is very important to me.

But I also agree to a certain extent.
NieR soundtrack is amazing.

EDIT: Don't forget the dev bought music afaik.
So it should be better than the free stuff, hopefully we get something good.

New Public Poll to the community decide how to tackle releases.

TL;DR:
Singular = Release all chapters 2(and so on) at the same time.
Triple = Release each chapter as soon as it's ready.

I am on the Elvenpath (shout out to Nightwish fans) and for me the obvious choice is the Triple releases choice, but I see problems in the future with this option.
I will accept that if someone was on the Human path then they will be less than pleased if you decide to go with the Triple rather than the Singular.
But I see a bigger problem and that is anyone who doesn't see this post, and the reason why you chose it, will download the "latest chapter" of the VN, and if they are on the Elven path then you will start to get lots of "but it tells me that there is no new content" complaints in July 2022 and Sept 2022 until November 2022, and then again on Jan 2023 and Mar 2023.

Also, those who chose Bests or Humans will complain that the May 2022 release will tell them that they have no new content.

Are you ready for this when it does happen (and no matter how well or how often you explain it, you know they will still complain).

What I would consider (and I know I'm gonna get virtual killed for this) is a poll of how many people chose which path.
After all, if no one chose the Human path, is it even worth wasting time and money building the new content for it if no one wants it and no one is going to see it?
Just a few thoughts.
I love the game and I don't want any bad publicity to affect how others see it or if others even try it in future.

Hi again.Firstly, yes, I know, quoting myself feels dirty but I feel that I should allow people to comment on my first post separately to what I am about to suggest now.

I have thought about this further, and since you are interested in suggestions of release cycles, I thought I would give you some more ideas.

If you were to poll the players and get a rough idea of what paths people chose (and let's say for the sake of discussion research showed that most wanted Elven then Beasts and then Human) then...

Instead of this:-
- Ch2 Elven (TBA)
- Ch2 Beasts (TBA)
- Ch2 Human (TBA)

- Ch3 Elven (TBA)
- Ch3 Beasts (TBA)
- Ch3 Human (TBA)

Why don't you consider this:-
- Ch2 God's Call : Liberation - Part 1 (TBA)
- Ch2 God's Call : Liberation - Part 2 (TBA)
- Ch2 God's Call : Liberation - Part etc (TBA)

- Ch3 God's Call : Retribution - Part 1 (TBA)
- Ch3 God's Call : Retribution - Part 2 (TBA)
- Ch3 God's Call : Retribution - Part etc (TBA)

- Ch4 God's Call : Compliance - Part 1 (TBA)
- Ch4 God's Call : Compliance - Part 2 (TBA)
- Ch4 God's Call : Compliance - Part etc (TBA)

You can switch the release dates a little, say release Liberation part 1 and then part 2 and then release Retribution Part 1...

This will solve a few of the issues that I saw could occur...
Those of us who are on the Liberation path get our content sooner...
Those on the other paths won't be confused about their path continuing until their chapter is released...
And more importantly, I would (and I would say that others would too) seriously consider starting again and trying the Retribution path after I have finished the Liberation path. This means that you get to please more players and give the later chapters a wider audience.

You could monitor the download numbers on each chapter to see if it's even worthwhile spending time and money on developing chapters if the download numbers show that people aren't interested in that path.

Thinking on this more, I seriously doubt I would follow the Compliance path, but then, if "maybe" you put hints in the other paths that the Compliance path is worth exploring due to "other surprises" or "more detail" not made available in the previously released paths then that would further enhance the previous two chapters, and this would entice me to play all 3 paths just to get the whole world view.

This would mean that all of your hard work would be seen and appreciated and the VN's life would be extended (probably for a few years depending on how much content you have planned).

I think this would be a WIN-WIN strategy for you the Dev and for us the players.

Just my 7c worth (inflation, don't you know).
Just a few more thoughts.
I love the game and I want to bring more people to play it and appreciate it too, so I wouldn't want a decision made that would split the players into groups and impact on the possible player pool.

Just being a civilian, without information about the military, probably wouldn't have helped either.
Hiding seems to be a reasonable choice, when escorting isn't possible.
The hiding place itself could have been better though.

I also kinda of disagree. (Don't misunderstand me, I really love the game so far)
This seems to me (IMO) a game that will punish you regardless of your choice,
its a matter of how its effected. I think she was going to die either way.

Given that person we saw earlier who attacked you, because of your blessing.
I'm guessing it was them who did it. (If a name was said I've forgotten)
Probably noticed you bringing food to your tent and stalked you.
Which I'm betting means if you make any choices like this or to their disliking, its inevitable to happen again.

I'm all for being wrong but its hard not to notice, from get go you get punished for everything.
Don't know who you are, they will beat answers out of you.
They think you lie, force their way into the M.C.'s mind - leaving reoccurring headaches, with foreshadowing of it happening again in the future.
Its just a guess on my part but I think the person who attacked you for your blessing will set you up,
knowing you hid them and say you are a spy or something making you go through the process once again if you Deny the actions.

That's true but the fact the M.C. is also referred to as a "male" also lets them (those who haven't played) know they wont be seen as female in any light.
Add to the fact the M.C. calls himself male as well.
So that maybe the reason it is still here.

I agree but I also disagree.
You are both correct after playing the game.
You understand the why's and how's of everything and the reason for being so.

But an outsider is none the wiser since they have yet to play the game.
(Nothing wrong with it, they might not like those tags.)

I also believe either a trap/futa protag would be more representative of what you'd get when playing the game.
But when taking in account the world itself, he would be male, but this could definitely be deceiving.

I am with you on that.
Since how the game was built with gender and futa's.
With the identifying marks (I.E. Blue and Pink and kinda Purple at times)
I rather like that idea.

Currently the like to dislike ratio on futa's is tied. - At the time of this post.
The likely hood of it changing though is high because...
Those who dislike it complain heavily, where those who like it often don't speak out.

I have seen it time and time again, where people will complain about Shemales , Traps , Futa's on game forums that have nothing to do with it. To make matters worse they get happy when these games fail. They go out of their way to be happy about such things they claim not to have an interest in.

I'm not saying ALL people, just a trend I have seen.
If we are lucky it wont change.
I prefer a minor change, option of auto win on the card game battles
Since I am not a fan of the system, nor when a game is so story based to be pulled out of it.
Given how they feel so far to, it comes across as something that will get worse as you go (I.E. more cards)

I'll be honest, I loved Braveheart Academy and adored non-binary/trans/trap Blair and that romance path, and I had hoped for more of those kinds of possible relationships in this game as I still liked the male protagonist we were given and generally prefer my male MC's to exhibit some sort of secondary male characteristics in the games I play. Having read through these threads, I'm not quite sure if this game is for me...and that's ok. I don't want or expect the Dev to change their creative vision in order to appease potential supporters. Either the work/project speaks for its itself and is able to attract a following based entirely on the Dev's premise/world or it won't.

I've been on the fence on whether I want to play this, ironically not initially because of the futa/androgynous 'male' characters...that's more of a creative/stylistic choice, but rather I had heard not only how dark it was, but the body count with characters we may get easily attached to being so graphically killed off left me wondering if I want to even attempt to try it out for myself. Given the time in between updates, I may just bite the bullet and give it shot anyway whether or not changes are later made to the game in order to appease more people.

Lastly as for the mini-games, there was an option to skip those in Braveheart Academy, so I'd be optimistic that could be a realistic option in future builds of the game since I'm only interested in the story and not so much into grinding/managing resources/mini-games or combat. If there is a workaround in order to still advance the progress of the story, then I'm all for it.

I can see many leaving over the whole "male" aspect.
Specially as I just said the vocal against this will be louder and likely the majority.
Its easy to see how many don't want to read "guy/man" when it visually looks female.
To each their own.

I do however side with you Crimson, with believing the creator should not bend to what others want.
Don't get me wrong, as much as that would favor my wishes, I have seen many games lose a lot because
what people want doesn't make a good game.

There are many things I would love to see in a game, on paper would sound good but I know
that in practice, it would be crap.
I prefer the idea of a creator making a game and trying to keep it true to their vision.

I like original games and this for sure is one of those.
I found an interesting game, just last night that I liked called "Nothing is forever"
Nice interesting new take, the skill system is kinda interesting. (No combat)
I asked the creator if they were going to put in a trans character, they said no due to how it would make
the path system hard to follow/create.
I'm not trying to take people away from this game but its an interesting game thus far.
Its got a decent size chunk to it, worth trying while waiting for the next update

Q- Real talk now, why Braveheart 2!?

A- I could tell even by Chapter 0, that God's Call would not be for everyone, and I don't want to change the core of it, because that's what the game is its identity.
With that said, I was known for Braveheart Academy and that's what most of my fans and supporters really enjoyed, liked, and want.

And I'm a sucker to give you what you guys want, so let's do this!

A- I'll be alternating in between games like NiiChan does (great dev check him out!)
God's Call will be extended into more chapters so you won't have to wait long.

A- They won't be short in their length, each individual route's chapter will be around the same length as chapter 1, so don't worry you'll be getting a ton of content.
(The Elven Route's chapter 2 has already been fully written and is the same size as Chapter 1, and you'll be getting three chapter 2's at the same time!)

I actually didn't expect it to have such a disputed opinion.
I'll be sure to add a skip toggle and improve on it further for those that like it.
Characters "gender" within the world. (Males being Futas).

Oof. This ended up being controversial as I expected.
Unfortunately, I don't plan to change this.

Surprisingly for the first time writing a story, good or bad, it has had an impact on people and I'm glad the came is original enough that people enjoy it, despite its other issues.
Gore and how dark it can be.
22 vs 3

Glad people are onboard with this since God's Call is intended to be brutal!
Slow paced/lack of H content.
7 vs 32

And this is a big point that I cannot touch without breaking the consistency and the tone of the story. It will have a good amount of content and long scenes but those scenes cannot happen with the same frequency as a regular eroge since this is much more focused on being a serious grounded story.

Braveheart 2 will break this monotony with a more light-hearted story with a lot of romance and H Content!
