Damn, really sad no JamesXZoe content. I literally have been following this game waiting for that specific scene. It seemed like a really obvious setup at the beginning, and since there is optional NTR earlier in the game it seemed natural to assume there would be more there, especially considering that earlier setup. It's a good game, but that really killed the vibe for me because I was playing it with the assumption that I could have that outcome, and it really made the ending feel incomplete

Yes, dev decided game over for this one, and rushed ending. Yet main story plot with which it began didn't conclude, namely ;
That cheap drug called "VICE" and the mastermind behind those secret labs, or why were they distributing free samples to the homeless shelters?
What was the government and FBI connection with this VICE experiment?
In the beginning, MC states that he's joined the organised crime department to right the wrong and his uncomfortable past that he wasn't yet ready to share with Zoey. That plot was also abandoned.
Joey/Zoey, mentioned that she's also working to avenge her father / or mother (I don't quite remember which family member) who's killed by some unknown mafia goons. That plot was abandoned.
Dr. Grace, story arc her brother and homeless shelters connection with VICE drugs, were abandoned.
Who had tipped Benjamin to kill his own man James and his partner Zoey/Joey wasn't specified?
My suspicion would be either FBI girl or police captain.
Shooting that corrupt clerk inside government office should have led to something but that was quickly abandoned as well.
Receptionist working for the rival gang to plot against Benjamin's gang was also abandoned.
This could have become quite a thriller suspense story and only VN in this genre, yet Dev decided to end it abruptly. Whatever reason.
Yeah, I agree the game is over, but it feels like a lot of story ideas were dropped, like GayLord Jesus pointed out. It's still a good game as is, but because the character writing started off strong and there were many character defining plot threads hinted at, I kept expecting them to be addressed and they simply fall flat at the end. I was shocked at how the game ended honestly. It was building well, the story wasn't going into random episodic content just to show implausible sex scenes (there was no "everyone goes on an island vacation" arc thank goodness), and then the plot just gets turned to 11 really fast with most of the more interesting ideas not touched and then just ends. I do like NTR in some games but I'm not even specifically so upset about that, I'm upset that the beginning lead me to believe things were coming later that would emotionally drive our characters and get them to act a certain way that would have an effect on the story. Having character trust you or not ended up just being "which characters will sleep with you", when it could have meant so much more for all of them, like Zoe finding out who killed her dad or not, or Grace could have not been able to do anything meaningful against Benjamin without you turning her into an asset and helping her. Amelia could have been an actual character, that random side quest to help her from an obsessive ex-boyfriend was so dumb because nothing ended up coming from it no matter what you chose. I feel like I got blue-balled by a porn game. Could have been really good, was only ok in the end.

All the drama could have been avoided if the dev just simply not add the so called "optional ntr" with Grace at the beginning of the game and make the game being tagged as ntr. People who don't like ntr hate and the people enjoy that kink don't like it either since the MC doesn't even know about Grace at the point so it's not really ntr

Going Rogue had a ton of potential, unfortunately it got too much negative attention and it was "abandoned" of sorts. Hope With Eyes Closed goes well.
Well... complete? Feels more like abandoned, there isnt much complete here, very dissapointing how this game turned out... could have been easily a 4-5 star game, finished like this, rushed just to get it over with and dropping nearly every single plot, its not even a 2 star game anymore. And now a new game started by the dev... well, i dont think it well get more attention after this one... nobody wants to pay money for something that turns out like this here. You kinda have to push thorugh to earn your trust of patrons, dropping a game like this, really unfinished will not help in that regard for the new project.

imagine you go to the cinema, to watch a thriller movie, on your ticket it shows the runtime of the movie will be 2 hours, a lot of action and a little sex.
You are seated, watching, kinda enjoy it too, and just about when the story tries to kick in, the end credits are showing... you sit there and think to yourself "wtf, it didnt even finished ANYTHING?"
Its kinda like this:
