Odd thing indeed, but that's what makes etymology interesting (to me).

Most of the differences between English & English (US) derivative are due to English having a large influence from a mixture of Germanic, Norse & French.
English (US) uses different spellings, e.g. color, instead of colour (English with French influence).
I'm not aware of major word differences, apart from things like "sneakers" for "trainers", or "eggplant" for "aubergine", etc.

Yeah, but the guy was right I hate the white wall tires and they aren't for this car
The more chrome and white tires, the more vintage machine.
Today, people wanted to chrome even the rubber parts. And it's the same with those twhite tires.
