No, I don't believe that what puts these complainers off is understanding the severity of the issue and disliking the heavy nature of it because many of them have made it quite clear that they simply don't want any drama in the game at all. Again, there is an abudance of games and VNs with shallow stories and shallow characters if that's what people want, and whilst this one could have done a better job of laying the groundwork for being a dramatic game and for this shift in narrative, the dev clearly wants this to be something that has a little more depth than most other adult games and that's perfectly OK.

My stance on this segment here was strictly based on the ones that have shared what I believe to be reasonable complaints so far. I'm not defending the ones who're only looking for fap material. You and I are in agreement there. I just want to make sure we're on the same page.

Most definitely. Hard-hitting stories can be even more rewarding, but if I'm trying to escape, I'm not looking to cross into that territory. At the end of the day, it's a matter of preference. In terms of drama, everyone has a bar for what they feel they can tolerate. This subject matter just passes that bar for some people. Again, I'm not talking about the ones having an existential crisis over Haley being unpure now or whatever. Just strictly how people feel about the sudden coming drama from a reasonable perspective, particularly in defense of total's comments about the update.

That means your bar is higher than others. Again, drama isn't for everyone. Everyone has a certain cap they can take before it becomes too heavy on the mind, so some check out before it gets to that point, me included. There's only a certain amount and a certain kind of drama I can take before it begins to linger in my mind against my effort to fight it. It's great that you're looking forward to more and I hope you get what you're looking for, but others, as well as myself, are currently erring on the side of caution. I've heard that the dev plans to take his time with this arc, which is great and a smart move, but if it looks like it's becoming too much to think about, I'll be pulling out.

I don't like surprises I hate when Devs throw a curve ball into a story so I chose to hop in comments before continuing it each update because if theres something I dont like or I'm not into it's time to make space on my hard drive I'm not into fetishes and kinks and so on hints part of the reason I play this game and I hate games that undermines he MC choices and force you into content you care nothing about hell once I played a game and begin to chose a path I will not back and replay other paths just to see new renders I didnt give a damn about in the 1st place I'm disgusted by any type of NTR content and hate liars and people that do things for their own satisfaction such as Haley the best relationship option here for the MC is the one he's already in in my playthrough I treated Haley like she was a pile of manure I made this same comment a few months ago when incest was first introduced I knew it was coming but hoped I had a choice like I've had with everything else Dev manipulated us into thinking that in a way that's why incest was added so late into the game forcing you to have to continue to play were if it was introduced earlier some of us would have stopped playing we're only human we may all be equal but we don't think alike.

By realistic and lighthearted I meant in the context of the adult video game medium. Nobody was doing any incest until the last two updates. There was another path where the MC can be loyal to Sandra that got shafted because players didn't like it. "Haley's Story" doesn't necessary mean she has to fuck her brother. It just means the game is telling her story. It could've been about dealing with her feelings purely on platonic level and getting over it eventually (not saying that would've been the right choice for the purpose of the story). The original game pitch was just two siblings living together and exploring the world around them. If we're talking realistic by IRL standards expect rampant alcoholism, drug abuse, sexual abuse and low level education to follow shortly.

I would've preferred that over two siblings suddenly fucking each other where the hell did that come from that was never supposed to happen the Dev changed the story due to patreons I hate when Dev buckle down because of patreons a story shift is quite noticeable especially when your heading in one direction then you suddenly go the other no no no no that has nothing to do with the story you changed things around I'm not a fan of incest when I started this game and realized they were siblings I almost stopped playing immediately but when I saw she had a boyfriend and the brother began dating lovely beautiful Sandra I couldn't stop playing it months into the progression of the game it starts hinting Haley's jealousy I didn't mind it at all cause I assumed I've had the option of yes and no from the beginning so this should be no different and I've done everything in my power to show Haley to stay in here place I even snitch to Adriana at the very beginning not that I hate Hayley but wanted to make sure I keep her love or relationship points down to zero this is how I know this was forced and was never part of the story in the 1st place no matter how badly you treat Haley she falls head over heels for you I told her I dont wanna live with here I'm gonna move out I didn't massage her foot any time a decision came for Haley I went with the negative but still I end up liking my sister this is bs, I love Sandra she is the ideal girlfriend/wife there's no other character in the game that tops her in looks or personality I did however dislike how the dev tried to make you not like her unless your just someone that does not date out of your race there is no reason not to love her.

I don't want to sound like a filthy centrist but it's understandable why people got turned off by the 'big reveal' even though i still love the story myself. Calling casual games bad isn't right nor is the seething hatred for anything but a harem game. Since we are already talking about dark themes, options that lead to fallout between the twins would be cool as well for the people who don't want Haley. Like she keeps ignoring/defending he pedo and MC has had enough.

Personally i feel like this pedo teacher fiasco will stretch across many updates and will be the huge shadow that makes rest of the sexual encounters unenjoyable. I hope we're not told we're monsters for not sticking to one girl. Sandra is absolutely lovely and i wouldn't want her to go. We can wrap up the boss lady's storyline by putting a baby in her and then settling down with Haley and Sandra. Rest i don't care about.

People get far too possessive of stuff that isn't theirs to possess when all they have to do is just say, "well, it's not my cup of tea, but it is what it is so let's just see where this goes." But instead they get all pissy about arbitrary points and become so triggered by plot development that isn't to their specific liking that they act as though it's a personal attack on them and their enjoyment.

I get the need for escapism in these games, to leave the world behind for a little while and jump into another world with no worries, cares, or dramas, but hard-hitting stories with hard-hitting subject matter can be even more satisfying as they can actually make you feel something for the characters and their story. But the complainers don't want to feel, they just want to have a quick fap to some hot pics and not have to think about anything, which is OK and there's nothing wrong with that, but just because a game wants to have a more serious plot doesn't ruin it, it enhances it and elevates it above the typical fodder.

Exploring a character's backstory and history is not a problem nor is the subject matter of it, how it was handled can certainly be considered a problem, but overall this is an interesting new direction for the game and I for one am very curious to see how it plays out.

It takes a lot for something like that to be revealed, and the other group of people that went through that and couldn't find the strenght say anything about it or seek help usually end up killing themselves.

Easy story solution, if she indeed knew and did nothing then you kill the mother and Klaus, steal all their money and after that ride into the sunset just to get caught by cops, you end up in prison, released at the age of 80 and you spend the rest of your old days with Haley in a camper you once again stole from some young couple.

If Haley was a willing participant. Even at that age, it probably would hurt her more get dragged through the aftermath of going to the authorities. There is few actual rape cases today that end up in court because the actual victim end up get even more traumatized, and more than often screwed over by the court system in the process. Then get shamed as a slut, attention seeking hoe and whatever by the public.
