I disagree aboute the Visual Novel style. The alternative would be lots of walking around RPGMaker style, which would usually be really repetitive and generic unless the developer spend a lot of time tweaking said mechanics very few games come to my mind who do that, like Claire's Quest or Roundscape Adorevia.
Yeah, I decided from the very beginning to keep the mechanical aspect of the game simple and focus on the story and visuals. I'm not a coder. Doing something more complex like Milfy City or Babysitter would would make my game a bug ridden disaster that would take ages to play test.
