Hi, can anybody help me? I downloaded EP Halfway House EP 8. I downloaded by torrent, the only reason being I have such a slow connection that it crashes otherwise. Torrents are more stable. Anyway, I tried to install and nothing happens, I don´t have a start. folder. Any ideas?

Even if you got it by internet someway else, the game itself is in a folder of a winrar you downloaded when unzipped.
The exe (game start app) should be in first folder (capital H icon) Not sure what the problem is unless you got a bad download or admin permissions set ^^

Haven't played this in a year, came back today and played it. Their STILL isn't much sex scenes in this game. Story and characters are average. So it's hard to get through the game. I like the renders and how the characters look. But that's it. Game is boring.

Honestly, couldn't agree with you less. I like the story that's being built in this game. I'd take that any day over some of the stuff out there. Slow builds, IMHO, are more rewarding in the long run. If I wanted to pop off, Pornhub is right there.

I didn't say i want sex scenes every min. Just more scenes. Game is making 4k a month and been in development for two years. Its lackluster. Most of the episodes feel short. This is a extremely slow build. Not just a "Slow" build. I'm not playing this game again for awhile. If he made the story and drama more interesting i wouldn't mind the lack of scenes. Summer Gone and Rebirth have good stories with little sex scenes. This does not. Just a generic story. Its a 3 out of 5 vn.

It's more a slow development than a slow game. There are several sex scenes already and the plot is moving forward.
The only problem here is how much time it takes for updates and how short these are or feel.

This is the first VN game that I played and I'm really happy because it lured me towards similar games, brought me to this site and presented to me that those kind of games can give a lot of satisfaction while playing them

I generally understand where you're coming from. I've gotten into the characters and the overall pace of this game. It feels realistic to me. I'm okay with more of that in VNs and not the usual CONSTANT HAREM ALL THE TIME or WINCEST CITY sort of thing. I said earlier in this thread that making $4K a month would cause me, personally, to reevaluate what I was doing in my life (for better or worse), but I don't know what the dev's situation is. Honestly, I think he's producing a quality game that I find enjoyable. For me, that's more than good enough. If it's not your cup of tea, that's totally cool.
I get this as well. It does take a minute for the new updates. That's not a huge deal for me. I'm sitting on, I don't know, several games that I wish would have more frequent updates because I'm really enjoying them and yeah, waiting for updates is frustrating. I think actually Halfway House has pretty decent updates when they happen compared to some stuff out there, and I'm okay with waiting for quality over quantity. My life is crazy as it is. I'm okay waiting a minute between updates to handle other shit between binge sessions.
Halfway House literally was the game I found back in the day on itch and was like, "Huh, so this sort of thing exists...," which has led me down a rabbit hole of fail and AIDS...uh, ahem...I mean discovering new things. I feel a lot of what you're saying. I find the pace of this game kind of refreshing compared to many games out there. It was a favorite, even after I started exploring the wide world of adult games, and remains so.

I can't agree with you calling this a generic story. The premise and the story are really nice.

Makes me wonder and worry if a male character is going to be moving into the house and getting in the MC's way of being with Emily. In my save I have a 40 Love/10 Corruption score with her. If some other guy moves in, tries going after her, especially now since Ash is going to teach her about makeup stuff, it could be a disaster. And as mentioned, if this game has any kind of cheating or that sort of stuff with it, I'm so done with this game.

Could just be the MC talking to Officer Monroe, or hanging out with Luis, or at work with Eli. Or heck, maybe you run into Hollis again. Or you could see Cruz again or maybe Ash's Grandfather. There's plenty of "dudes" already established for the MC to talk to without having to worry about new ones being added and then freaking out over NTR.

Whatever or whoever it is, I just don't want any "interference" with Emily. That's the only concern I have in this game.
