No, the idea of Patreon is a tip jar to show support to creators whether it's devs, musicians or artists.Isn't the idea of patreon to have people pay you enough to do something full time instead of having a regular job to pay bills?
It is my perception that currently people choose to assume the secondary (and much more recently adopted) definition of "patron" when it comes to Patreon. This allows them to behave as though they are a "customer", purchasing a product, as opposed to being a "supporter". If the primary definition is applied, then there is logical entitlement to anything. You are correct - people are free to stop donating any time they choose. My two cents is basically this: You aren't really entitled to get angry if you're getting something for free. If you're a supporter on Patreon, and you're upset, just stop pledging. Its really that simple, you know.
Three months is nothing in this reality. Harem Hotel and Ecchi Sensei were/are at 4 months, and clearly neither are "dead". When you consider that Ker is at the point where he is creating the "new" Westlands and (whatever that other city is called), it is not so shocking. Those areas require a lot of mechanics, like the brothel system for example, and I would assume also a large chunk of story.Well 3 months already no matter patron or customer the project is Dead
I love what Ker was creating but all good things come to end I still keep the first version of harem on my hardrive recently played to tell the truth he not add much to second version just corrected some things and add more story
To be honest not many projects got completed to maybe around 10%...
Look there is other projects which not able to accomplish there objectives but at least let there supporters knowThree months is nothing in this reality. They are not moving as fast as one might prefer, but that isn't even similar to being "dead". It is possible your assertion is correct, but there is no evidence to support or disprove it.
Everything you said is true. And it is certainly cause for production being slow currently, or possibly being dead, as you state. However, you are speaking as if your opinion, which is complete conjecture, is actual fact - it simply is not fact. You may say "I am afraid the game may be dead", and I would agree. That is not what you said.Look there is other projects which not able to accomplish there objectives but at least let there supporters know
I dealt with ker back in the day when he was doing the first game very well know how he left the project disappeared then started a new after couple of other creators wanted to relaunch and finish his project
The other thing is very well established he is not in good health there is other people who are involved in the project just one of them try it to keep us up to date after that nothing
Rpgmaker is not the hardest thing to do even illustration to ker game what was attacking support and players it was the story
The other point want to make till April ker was very good keeping us up to date
Yes is correct my problem is simple if there is a team helping ker why none of them can't update the gameEverything you said is true. That "crappy art" is because of 3D Custom Girl, the program he uses for the renders, which hiring a new artist won't fix unless they scrap everything and rework it all without using that program.I can understand that, last update I see is March 31st saying he isn't dead. But that means he collected about $6,000 since that update with no news. I'm honestly a little more peeved at the fact that it doesnt seem like he bothered to hire someone to fix the crappy art he is using.
That is the goal of some creators, to go full time, but not always. Sometimes it just acts as a way to donate or as a secondary income to their day job.Isn't the idea of patreon to have people pay you enough to do something full time instead of having a regular job to pay bills? This would also mean hospital bills so I don't see how its milking people of their money.
If they don't have all the resources to update, they can't update. Say the only artist on the team falls sick, that means no art is being made and that means the rest of the team can finish their part and still not have the art needed for updating.Yes is correct my problem is simple if there is a team helping ker why none of them can't update the game
Well he did make a report that he was still alive so that counts as something. You must be registered to see the links
After reconsideration and some doubt, I still do live
I’m sorry for the extended absence, I’ve gone through the worst few months of my life. Back in March was a few days up in what turned out to be a very long cycle of crashes and moderate recoveries. Weeks of debilitation where I could barely do more than care for myself, blinding headaches and dizziness when I as much attempted to focus on something, followed by a few days up just to crash again. Never sure if I had turned the corner on this or it was just another short peak before another crash. Many doctor visits, but I don’t exactly have great insurance, so it’s been very slow going. But they think they’ve found a group of meds and supplements that at least get me to functional while I see a specialist and they try to figure out exactly what’s causing these issues.
To everyone whose kept on supporting me during this time: Thank you. I don’t understand why you did so but thank you. I would say I’m going to be working nonstop to repay your kindness, but I’m not capable of doing so. What I will say is that Harem is not dead, I will continue to work on it. We’re too far into July to hope to have a release this month still, but I will attempt to get new content out for August.
I will try to get on Discord this Sunday to chat for a while at least. And try to catch up on all the comments, messages, and emails I have received, but that is likely to be a long process. But I have been up for a bit over a week now and have even been able to start writing again.
Again, Thank you to all my supporters and well-wishers.
c8m4.1 is released but pateon only currently afaikWell he did make a report that he was still alive so that counts as something.
But it would had been better if he did keep his patreon on progress even if it was not so good news. this way people wont even speculate if the project was dead or not. Intead of a full 3 months silence. This part is called common curtacy.
Was wondering was anyone able to obtain c8m4.1 i think this was the latest version before going awol. Was this part ever released ?? the only release is c8m3.1
