The game is clear, she is not interested romantically in anyone else but you. It even says on all of my pages (even in this OP) that there will never be NTR. But he will not watch any of Maria's scenes whenever she appears because she's bisexual and is threatened by that, even if sexual or romantic things aren't happening, he doesn't like that she's bisexual. I couldn't agree more. For most devs on games like this what you have is a passion project, which is to say it's more like art than a product. The artist (Runey) is making something they WANT to make and hoping some people enjoy it enough to support it so that more time can be put into making it. This is a completely different developement philosophy to a game that hopes to make a profit, where you cater specifically to certain widespread tastes that you KNOW people will support. A product will change to cater the consumer. An artist will usually tell you to kindly shove it if you try to present their subjective taste as objectively unwanted.

Otherwise I absolutely love this game it is one of those games which I played and felt that if I would have built a game it would be similar to this one. and trust me this is the best compliment one could give. I was enjoying going through the game a lot and if Maria was not there(or be a bit different i.e. heterosexual) it would secure the first place undoubtedly on the list of porn VNs I played.

I've seen this "if I made a game" thing in a few different contexts on threads recently, and I feel like people who say this are forgetting the fact that the reason they are here enjoying these games is precisely because they do not have the skill or experience to put something like this together. I certainly don't have the necessary ability to create a game on this scale. I'm here because Runey and other creators have made something unique and interesting that I want to explore. If parts of it aren't to my taste, it's because the artists tastes are different than my own. There is nothing wrong with something not being my thing(or anyone else's). Let the creator express themselves and take from it what you will, instead of antagonizing developers over a difference in taste and acting like it's honest criticism.

I agree with pretty much everything you said, but I think you have the wrong impression of what playing the devil's advocate means.
To be the devil's advocate you have to argue for something that most people usually wouldn't.
In this case it would be for the guy who "hates?" lesbian content.
Which in all it's quite funny I thought most people thought of that as a hot genre regardless of sexual preference.

I don't see a majority of people advocating for hate on others, it's just a few butthurt people mad about literally nothing.

I suppose we just gotta accept some kinks aint for everyone and not liking them and even preferring they be removed does not make it phobic. Personally i dont play games where im forced into relations with Trans characters, that doesnt mean im Transphobic... merely its just not what i want in porn game and whilst that does shit on a devs vision arguably having that mindset they often give an option to opt out and everyone is happy. In this instance we can only say - its a big part of the story and some of the characters so its maybe not the game for you before we all get stirred up and start deducing anyone is a phone of any kind IMO and what will or will not make them a better person.

I love me some Maria but accept shes a very controversial character as shes slutty, a handsy sex pest and a predator for trying to coax others into sexual activities they are often clearly not overtly comfortable with. Lets be real honest here - if she was a guy acting as she acts even i would be glowering at her suspecting NTR even if its always been made clear there will never be NTR in the game lol. What does homophobia have to do with anything? Nobody is saying that homosexuls are bad or evil or what ever. All the guy is saying is that the events happening aren't coinciding with his romantic or sexual preference. And since this is a game centered around sex and romance with the primary goal being for the player to identify with the main character ones enjoyment of it will indeed depend heavily on if the events unfolding cater to or clash with ones romantic and sexual preferences.

There is nothing wrong with that. Nor is there anything wrong with levying constructive criticism on a product. Doubly so if said product is still in development and actively seeking money from people. When all criticism is shut down by people like you is when projects become echo chambers and things end badly indeed.

Now, that's not to say he is right or that the game should be changed or anything. But he is not wrong to speak his mind.
Nor does it mean I agree with his position, but again, not wrong to say it.

Than again I am of a wholly different kind my self. I mean, personally if I had my way I could honestly play this game with the sex turned off and loose very little since I genuinely just enjoy the harem plot. The complexities of the individual characters, the romance, their interactions and the way they grow and develop is what keeps me hooked to this game.


Finally, given how you scream phobia, you of all people should know that ones sexual and romantic preferences are not something one can choose or change but something one is born with. So maybe you shouldn't be so quick to judge people just because they were not born on your side of the issue.
