I just miss understood I thought the .16 released to pat. members was the .16 release didn't know .16 wasn't done and I guess I got my games mixed up too was thinking pat. releases became public releases 1 week after pat. but that may have been another game judging by the backlash I got just for asking the question
The early releases for supporters start off being one event at a time, or less, as the update gets completed.

Another discontinuity:

Cornwall has issued his challenge and Ellen has informed me that she's received a letter. If I talk to Ellen about it, the game sends me to Lin, who immediately requests her sister's advice, and Jin appears. Except that I haven't purchased her sister yet.

(Lin's at 22 and I don't have a level for Jin, obviously.)

I think Jin visits to give the advice if you haven't bought her at that point? hard to remember as I usually avoid story events while I get the bar up and running enough to buy everything.

No need for speculation, I've made Development Posts before every single update announcing the new features and estimated public release time. You've never had to pay to read patreon either.

That is how it worked last time I played that scene....which (admittedly) has been a while.

Iirc … the text in game covers this…

The “visit” and subsequent training with Jin for Lin has nothing to do with or is in anyway tied to the purchase of Jin.

Its a VISIT by her more experienced sister to facilitate her training.

I would guess that in your save Jin has not appeared in Lin’s room to talk to & she probably isn’t available in the dungeon either… she just got a day pass from her current owner to visit her sister. Like when you give Lin a pass to go to the grocery store or like when you send Lin and Android to the cafe to help out Autumn & Sister when their dad is in hospital.

In my admittedly shoddy memory…I am fairly certain that you don’t even have an opportunity to purchase Jin until after the training visit… because it’s further in on Lin’s quest chain that she asks about & discusses Jin’s living/ownership situation and then she unlocks for purchase…I could be misremembering the exact ordering of the story/quest steps.

Yeah, exactly. This happens even before she was available to buy. IIRC, you can't buy her first. At least that is how it was when the update first came out.

But how is that logical? Jin is someone else's slave. She's not going to just drop by because Lin has a sex question. Especially because the fact that I haven't purchased her means that she's going to disappear again once they have the conversation, and Lin apparently won't care? Also, Lin and Jin very clearly have an ongoing relationship in the scene in which she appears. There's not a bit of surprise that the other is there. That casual banter only makes sense if Jin has been around.

The “visit” and subsequent training with Jin for Lin has nothing to do with or is in anyway tied to the purchase of Jin.
Then why is she there? She doesn't even know Lin's alive, if she hasn't been purchased by the MC. The "visit" involves no surprise, shock, or emotion at the presence of either sister. She just shows up and they have a conversation as if they've been having them all along. It's grossly illogical, and clearly either a programming error or a characterization error.

Of course not, because I haven't purchased her from her previous owner. She'd have no reason to be in the hotel, or to know where it was, or to know that her sister was living there, because in that version of the story Jin is unaware that Lin is alive.

No, that's wrong. Jin's been available for ages. I just hadn't pulled the trigger.

I just loaded a save with Lin at 15. Jin's available for purchase. I loaded a save at 14, and she's not. But it's very obviously not post-challenge.

I just replayed the scene through to the end, and it's true that Lin blithely calls her sister and she shows up for dungeon training. But that makes zero sense. Lin's desperate for the MC to save her sister. Yet she just uses her as an experienced whore and then sends her away? Lin? Please.

It's not that it's impossible for Lin to call on Jin for sexual advice. Purchasing Jin and deciding that it's not working out is perfectly logical, no matter what happens later. It's that it's impossible for neither of them to give a shit that they're together for the first time in centuries. Lin, of all people, is utterly indifferent to seeing her sister for the first time since their forced separation and enslavement. That's so far out of character it's hilarious.

How did this upset you so much?
I've never seen someone's bias twist facts so clearly in real time before, and it's even more strange to see this on an indie dev game thread on a porn game website.

I'm not even going to bother correcting you, or telling you Lin definitely did feel something for Jin, and that you completely missed the point, because it's quite clear you're going to believe whatever you want, and not even the word from the story's creator is going to change your mind.

Do some of these events have issues? Most definitely. The ones you speak of could probably use an update as I've become better at writing and portraying emotion over time, but your reaction to this is crazy.

Please touch grass.

Autumn is going to get some pretty big story events in v0.16! Autumn's current arc begins with visiting the church for the first time, and the main plot here is a race between Autumn and Hazel to become this church's 3rd saint. During these events, you're going to learn more about what being a saint actually means in this world, and you will be introduced to artifacts such as the staff you see in the image above.

On top of that, a lot of new religious lore is being added in v0.16. Gaianism has an incredibly long history at least compared to some religions on earth, and they separate time into two eras; The Time of God, and The Time of Man. (Man meaning humanity). There's a lot of interesting things to find out about this religion and how it differs from any in our world. Gaianism is a lot more fantasy-esque, sort of like The Force I suppose. There are "powers that be" (not necessarily entities, but laws) that many Gaianists prescribe to "god" such as the blue crystals the fairies use. There are many dots to connect in these upcoming events if you pay enough attention.

These themes should make Autumn stand out from the rest of the cast, and hopefully interest all of you :)

As I remeber it the MC gave Lin a Laptop and she started to search for her Sister online (because she does miss her big sister a lot). By luck she found her offered for sale on the Net.
I think Lin wanted the MC to purchase her and and in that story part Jin comes over for a "Product demonstration".
I remeber thinking of it as a Testdrive before you purchase a car...
From that moment on she sometimes comes over (is called by MC/Lin over) for special events like the Training of Lin for the competition with Cornwell. Her own Story only continues after she is purchased by MC and is staying in Lins room.

I am also sensitive to plots that do not make sence and I know that I did not have that feeling with Jin when I played the last time.
As Jin/Lin meeting is quiet an older Story part and no one else found an issue, I think the chance is high that you forgot or missed (fast forward) something that connects it to make sence for you.

The first thing Lin does when she sees Jin after centuries is scream her name and hug her with all her might. Jin made a point to say how hard Lin was hugging her. So yeah, it doesn't make any sense for him to claim that Lin is indifferent. So I wouldn't take this seriously.

I remember her being so broken up about it, that I was annoyed that I was not able to buy her yet. It was expensive for us at the time, but I would have done anything to make her happy. ;)

Also : Damn, first time in a while I've seen Runey get so irked about something. :ROFLMAO:
