I think part of the issue is, isn't she part elf? Which is why she didn't get the job. I may be remembering that wrong; but we've already seen with Maria that even part elves are liable to be captured. So I think it's more likely she's going to end up in the sanctuary at some point; or rather we're going to have the option to add her to the sanctuary through buying her, as opposed to her moving in with the MC. It wouldn't surprise me if there isn't some story line with those people selling the slaves, where you have a chance to stumble across her being sold, and buy her.
If we're looking for characters who weren't in the game yet, there are a couple options that have been added so far. If we exclude elves that he might buy? (That's just my personal exclusion, due to having Nia around.) Could be one of the college girls. They weren't around when that statement was made.
Eris is part elf (dark elf, specifically, as shown by her eyes, and yes, that's why she didn't get the job at the cafe), but we have no reason to believe as yet that she's a half-elf. Lots of people have some dark elf DNA (including Ashley and Ellen) and have no problems at all (at least, not related to elvish background). Quarter-elf and below are (currently) safe; half-elves are less than dogs, elves are slaves and have some (though few) rights.
No real opinion whether she'll fill the last room, but I wouldn't object. I don't see her in the sanctuary unless more comes out about her.

You can, although I doubt a walkthrough mod from 0.17.x will work. In the best case nothing will happen and you can play the game with walki for up to 0.17.x but the later 0.18.x content will not have walki at all. And in the normal case the game will crash.

JGNeon updated the mod to 0.18.1 and considering 0.18.2 is bugfixes, technically should work just fine as there is no new content added.

Mod doesn't need an update for the last game version, JGNeon confirmed it and released just a version number change to the mod.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I can't get the park to unlock. I don't have the "explore" option available when I go to the city, the bowling alley isn't an option for me to go to. I'm kind of stuck here, any hints?
I have. I eventually figured it out, i just needed to do repeat visits of the cafe to unlock the bowling alley and then repeat visits of the bowling alley to unlock the park.

This game might just have the worst gallery implementation I've seen; it's nonsensical. There's significantly more content featuring girls within the game itself than what's actually displayed in the gallery. Oddly enough, the gallery is filled with content that seems irrelevant, while missing out on showcasing the more pertinent interactions with female characters. It really doesn't make sense to me.
