I'm not really looking for spelling or grammar mistakes so there might be more, but this one I just happened to notice: View attachment 2708734
It should be "could have had" not "could of had." I know it's common to see people type "could of," "should of," and "would of" but that's actually not correct and doesn't actually make any sense. They are basically typing out the way "could've" sounds, but "could've" is short for "could have." Anyway, just a minor thing, but figure I point it out in case Runey was interested in fixing stuff we randomly find, lol.
I think it works either way.
She is talking about herself, and the life that "she" could of had.

I would chalk that up to Lin not having much, if any, of a formal education. Think of the stereotype of the country girl talking to the city girl; one is refined and proper, the other takes a conversation all over the place and just peppers their dialogue with random words.

I took it as her being stressed and making a mistake, but you are correct.

That's one of those errors that's always bugged me with how common I see it. It's right up there with using the word "cause" instead of "because" and "ect" instead of "etc."

Well, I've never failed to run a game. I just used the one I used all the time, and it just worked smoothly.
I use Renpy plugin 8.0.3_7.5.3_009-patreon version and Joiplay 1.01.400 version. This is a very old version but the game works smoothly.
I played both the old and latest versions of the Harem hotel with this, and there was no problem.
It was possible to play in the latest version of Joiplay, but the animation scenes did not play smoothly.
So, some games are played using the old version of Joiplay and the latest version of the plugin.
Can you upload it her both joiplay app

Putting the word "of" after any of that never makes sense regardless of context...

But it's a subtitle, it's not like Lin is writing that, lol. It should actually read "could've had" since that's how most people talk instead of saying out "could have had." But either way "could of" is just simply wrong no matter what.

Oh, and just noticed this one, lol:

It's simply how so many people speak.
It's a porn game, and Lin is an elf who would not have had the benefit of a proper education.
As demonstrated by the letter that she wrote to the MC.
Doing it like that, actually demonstrates her lack of education.

Bug (?) report:
I've completed everything so far, though I can't enter my room at noon.
It is always blocked by the message that I should get closer to Nia,
although I have completed the path with her so far.
If you have not figured it out, can you upload your save? Will see if one of us can figure it out.
Has this been passed to Runey ? The bug persists until you purchase Nia then give her supplies. Below is a save file with the bug (played on v0.17).

I like the game but I haven't had time to play it since version 12 I think. Now that I can play the full version with 10Gb and the 5Gb compression lol if it was 2 or 3 GB there would be no problem. I think this will be the last version I play, they would have separated it into Seasons to prevent the game from weighing more and more

Yeah, I wanted you to hate Delilah and not like what was going on, but find hope in Autumn's character development. This stuff mirrors reality a lot here, so it's something to be aware of.

I've never heard of Strange Days or Johnny Memonic.

Glad to make you smile :)
never heard?!?!?!?!... you have to see it then!

Save (0.17)
all girls and full gallery(except vanessa, I don't know how to get into college)
only two scenes are missing, and those scenes are most likely related to Vanessa
I use mod Lain's Walkthrough
Have to restart the game from the beginning to visit Kali at college and see the new character Vanessa content. Kali now works for her father at Corpus.

Runey also stated in a recent post that there's a bug preventing that event which should be fixed in the upcoming v0.17.1 release.

But it's what she's saying. Do you expect Runey to get a voice actor in and record the lines?

Lin is an uneducated slave. Not a student reading English at Oxford. Its reflecting her lack of an education.

No, when they speak, they are saying "could've" not "could of." That's how you pronounce "could've"...

Again, like I've explained, she's saying "could've" it simply SOUNDS like "could of" but nobody in the world is ever actually saying "could of." They just end up typing that because they think that's what it is due to how "could've" sounds like when you say it...

Was only a 1.5gb download for me, because I used the patch, that's been offered for 7 or so versions now - which is... 2-3 years worth of updates.

So while I get you don't want to download 10gb each time the game is released, a patch only upgrade has been available for a decent amount of time. If you're only going to check out the game every 5+ updates, complaining about 10gb every 2-3 years seems a bit odd.

Actually, you are talking to someone who dislikes using contractions.
So, I would be far more likely to say, could have, rather than could've. (Could've being the contraction of could have) In fact, I may not have used that one in decades.
The same goes for couldn't and could not. <<<<Used on rare occasions.
To me it always seemed to be lazy to use many of the contractions.
Can't being one of the few that I do sometimes use, but even then, I will also use can not.
Everyone speaks differently, and something like what Lin did is so incredibly minor, that it could easily be something regional.
The use of "could of" is mostly in the United States, making it more of a regional use for it.
Grammatically correct? Nope, but it is common enough in the U.S. that it is accepted by everyone except for perhaps people who have attended higher learning centers, such as colleges.

You can't expect street hoods to speak the language well.
So if you have a story with them in it, are they supposed to all speak like James Earl Jones?
Because it is the proper way for them to speak.
Or, does the game developer type out the text of what they would say, as they would say it?
Even though what they are saying is absolutely horrible grammar, but it is, how they talk.
Because for a writer to tell a story, even bad grammar has its place, if it fits the story and gives it the proper feel when it is read.
