Hey, I came across this game last fall, and the first page said that Chapter 1 had been recently remastered, and the other chapters would soon also be remastered. I decided to wait until all of the chapters had been remastered before trying the game out, but I haven't seen a status update on that on the first page. Is the front page info out of date, or are the Chapters 2+ re-masters still in progress?

Dev doesn't come here anymore so news is pretty slow to get here.

She is still working on it though but no time frame yet.

Yes, the OP is outdated (including all the screenshots). There are now public development updates posted weekly (on Monday) on the dev's Patreon, if you want to check. We tend to repost them here on the same day though.

The remaster eventually turned into more of a remake, with all the renders being replaced with higher quality and more details. It's expanding also in terms of content, animations and gameplay, as there was a lot of content cut originally due to hardware limitations.

Due to the amount of work it takes, the remaster of next two chapters (One was released in the beginning of this month) won't be finished anytime soon. It probably won't be earlier than March.

I just thought of it and did a quick google, but there are cloud rendering services if someone didn't want to build a rendering PC. and/or wanted to render unlimited numbers in parallel (you pay in processing time) instead of series. No idea how it compares in price, or any issues with the type of renders hehe.. although could always do the naughty ones at home.

Well, as someone totally partial, I can only tell you that the remaster makes the old chapters look like a simple demo and now we have access to the whole game in all its glorya! All the bits Notty removed by lack of time or good enough rendering power, they're back in! Animations, female and coloured MC, new silly scenes, it has it all!

"Remaster" isn't a positive word anymore, what with all the scams that have been done in its name, but in this case, there *is* mastering going around.

Fair enough and I agree with you that the remaster adds a lot to the game, but if not planning to play femc (she does play quite different and understood from Notty that will be even bigger difference later on in the story, so is worth it) and mainly play for the story I can understand if someone wants to wait to chapter 3 or 4 to see enough new story.

I did look, but with over a thousand pages of posts and searching on "remaster" getting 18 pages of hits, finding the information was just a bit problematic.

As we said, dev doesn't come here and we're not exactly on the ball when it comes to keeping the page updated.

It used to be really active here but between the mods killing the fun and a group of people trolling the reviews the life in the thread caved in and we moved elsewhere to chat.

Only place that gets regular updates is Patron.
