Really, what about Severus Snape or Anakin Skywalker? They're pretty misunderstood characters. Would you say how they're written is shitty? That's the literal definition of shitty writing.

Shit understanding, shit inference/interpretation, does not automatically equate to shit writing. That's the literal definition of shitty writing.
If you're playing a white male character, yes, you can. Remember Trisha? Can you actually fk anyone outside of VR?
There's a bit of a romance reward if you win VR on first try. A small one, but I enjoyed it personally. Not needed to progress, but it might improve your opinion.Game is beautiful as always and there were some interesting bits adding to the mystery, it felt a bit underwhelming so far playing (Sarah and Chris romance routes) for such a long wait. Not sure if I should switch to try the CoC as only VR rewards seem mainly creepy/abusive so far. Overall feel I’d like a bit more romance progress at this stage.
She can be understood. But the player has to make an effort. And not dismiss her at first opportunity. Would you call writing a complex many-layered characters a shitty writing? I would not. Some people are just incapable of understanding. That's the literal definition of shitty writing.
Not a problem. So, what are the ways that you can get the spanking scenes when they are all patched up, if I may ask. As in, which routes you should take?Unfortunately, yes. They need a fix.
Cheers. Yeah I already backtracked and shutdown vampy and backtracked out of the peeping Tom stuff at the same time. There's a bit of a romance reward if you win VR on first try. A small one, but I enjoyed it personally. Not needed to progress, but it might improve your opinion.
If you find Vampy creepy/abusive I wholeheartedly recommend telling Sarah about her in Chapter Three. She won't bother you again.
Keep in mind that this is still only Chapter Four out of Twelve. It's still quite early.
As for CoC, I advise not to play it until a patch arrives. Unless you don't mind replaying it again later.
Female protagonist and chase Annie using reason (you'll see what I mean in the first Chapter). Not a problem. So, what are the ways that you can get the spanking scenes when they are all patched up, if I may ask. As in, which routes you should take?
Should there? I'm not so sure. While I get we’re only third of the way there (and long time between updates is probably adding to frustration levels) I still feel there should be a little more romance progression.
As long as there are over the knee spanking scenes, I am fine with itFemale protagonist and chase Annie using reason (you'll see what I mean in the first Chapter).

As in, whenever you put the actual scenes in I mean lolAs long as there are over the knee spanking scenes, I am fine with it![]()
Well, thanks a lot for the compliment you just made to Notty, and incidentally to myself. For the actual issue addressed ... yes, deffinitely not travis adopted the transparency slider, even without your all mighty renpy expert help.
That "major feature" is my major downside : too many variations, I don't like to play dozens of times the same game with little differences. Yet I like when there are multiple routes with story impacting choices. Furthermore, the passing time is really stressful, you can't talk to all characters or visit all the places. I'm not keen on the investigation either. But I'm not a fan of sandboxes.Just as a reminder, a major feature of this game is that your choices can genuinely make a big difference in what happens. So, if you play through it once and feel like there wasn't as much new stuff as you were expecting, that'll be because there are several options (understatement) for how things can play out at this point, including how to go about the actual investigation, what day-time missions you want to go on, which girl(s) you want to spend time with, and there's even stuff that's different depending on which character you chose as player. Obviously, you don't have to play a dozen different ways, creating a headache of save file management (like I do), but just know that if you only play it once, you'll only be seeing a fraction of the content.

Then don't. It's not the intent of the game to play it dozens of time. Play your character and make your meaningful choices. You are not forced to replay. If you find you want more, choose another character and play it differently. And so on.That "major feature" is my major downside : too many variations, I don't like to play dozens of times the same game with little differences. Yet I like when there are multiple routes with story impacting choices.
I mean it's not so much the fact that there is too many variations but rather how you get them : talking to certain characters at certain times and/or ignoring some content like missions. But like I said I'm not a fan of sandbox games, so there is thatThen don't. It's not the intent of the game to play it dozens of time. Play your character and make your meaningful choices. You are not forced to replay. If you find you want more, choose another character and play it differently. And so on.
I never understood "too many variations" complaint. How can there be too many? The more variations there are, the more you can play your character the way you want. The more of an impact you can have on your character's story. An ideal game would have thousands of variations where pretty much the player's imagination is the limit...
OK, the point of Sarah's games is to play with her. You are effectively winning by just playing (unless you do some things she doesn't like in CoC). You don't need to actually win those games. So if luck is not favouring you, no problem. There's no need to get frustrated. If you lose the VR game twice, you still get to progress to the next one. So no grind. If your character dies in CoC, no problem, you can just roll a new one in the next session. Point is she'll be happy you played with her. So again - no grind.I think I messed up the spoiler - don't use it often. In any case -
I like the Sarah character - that's why I went on the expedition and why I played the VR and D&D - there is literally no other way to interact with her yet that I know of. And no, I do not like "games of chance" that give you no opportunity to win without backing up and restarting over and over. You may not call it a grind - but that's what it is to me. It is just pointless wash, rinse repeat until you get what you want.

Same with the pool game - in my play through the pool game didn't seem like a game of chance - Annie hit every shot, I had to rollback and play again, but I hit every shot -then she proclaims "Ha, I won - now do your stupid dance..."
