Then maybe you should've made a better one? Doesn't seem that puzzling to me.Issa joke, homie.

True. However perfect can still be good. It just takes a lot longer.Perfect is the enemy of good
Perfect is the enemy of done. 99% of folks who engage with your content will not even notice the 10% of stuff you grind on to meet your personal standards of "perfect".Perfect is the enemy of good
More than plenty of done VNs out there, go ahead and have at them.Perfect is the enemy of done. 99% of folks who engage with your content will not even notice the 10% of stuff you grind on to meet your personal standards of "perfect".
Thank you for the update.Latest Open Update from Notty -You must be registered to see the links
Criticism of the game would lead to meaningful conversations. The "Fucking dev, why isn't it done yet?" content comments are really weird. As if the shoplifter wants to hold the salesman accountable. The weird over the top defensive reactions whenever this game is mildly criticized or made fun of are bizarre.
You're probably right. The people of the consumer society consider even a three-minute Tik-Tok video too long, for them this game will not be an experience. They will click on the CTRL button, watch the sexual content and demand the next game/update. It can be bad to live like this. What do you think is better? Make love for half a night with someone you love each other, or 2 minutes of fap?Perfect is the enemy of done. 99% of folks who engage with your content will not even notice the 10% of stuff you grind on to meet your personal standards of "perfect".
You only think that because Notty really is a fanatic. She is obsessed with perfection. However, success justifies everything. Heavy is her magnum opus, she won't compromise on quality for anyone's sake.I'd almost think that Notty is a fanatic...
There's no point in discussing content that has already been published when it's all supposedly been revised anyway. The problem with this project is not the game, but the developer's supposed perfectionism. The problem in the discussion in this forum is not when people wonder why there haven't been any updates for over a year, but rather the posts from people who think they are doing a good thing by trying to prevent a discussion about the miserable development progress.Criticism of the game would lead to meaningful conversations. Only moderators can prevent a discussion. What is happening here is simply the law of effect-counteraction. Freedom of speech means that a person says something and accepts its consequences, e.g. that there will be those who do not agree with him/her.There's no point in discussing content that has already been published when it's all supposedly been revised anyway. Have a look at the last post from the developer. The whole thing is just pitiful to watch. It's either one of the bigger hoaxes here, or a developer who is about to completely derailed his project. With three chapters in the "revision", starting with a sixth, just because he want to see if he still enjoy working on the project at all, is maybe the last warning sign before the final end of the project. If it is still being worked on at all, and all these endless texts from the developer are not just pure bullshit.
It would have been a real help if the whole community had pushed to complete each chapter individually, instead of repeatedly attacking critics. Then the pressure on the developer would be much less now, if he really worries about it at all, and maybe he could escape this deadlock. As it is now, there is a great danger that at some point it will be said that not three but four chapters are being revised, without knowing whether someone is really still working on them or whether it is all just empty words.
ahum. the better question would be: what for?You already suggested that pressure should be applied to the developer. I asked the same thing then and now: How?
I asked the How question because I don't think we have any means of applying pressure. I am a supporter, in the past I have tried to persuade the developer to settle for good enough, but she is not willing to compromise. I realized that I had a better chance of climbing Everest in slippers than convincing Notty to give up her pursuit of perfection.ahum. the better question would be: what for?
pressuring a dev would lead to any result, from nothing at all up to the dev either locking up the whole thing, or throw it away. further, if i don't actually pay for a product i expressibly ordered.. i can't really expect anything. supporters will support, for a wide variety of reasons. that's that. as long as that 'supporters pay' part is suspended, the concept of 'milking' is off the table.
a number of devs actually do that, have the support coming in and shell out a tiny something every once in a blue moon.
so what would be the point in pressuring a dev? if it's a perfectionist, it only adds stress, which unlikely speeds up anything. hm, i don't think trying to talk this particular dev out of the idea of a 'perfect product' would work.
Well there is your answer then. There is no "how" for you. And there shouldn't be. You have been allowed to express your opinion, there is no level that a supporter should be able to pull to say "do it my way". If you want things done your way, you are going to have to make a game. If all of the supporters said "this is the way I want it" then it lends a little more pressure - but the extent of your influence is to choose to support or retract your support. There is no manager for you to speak to.I asked the How question because I don't think we have any means of applying pressure. And the only other way you'd have to pressure her would be dropping your support... which is pointless since she's barely taken any money in the last three years. Sp... yeah. She is as much of a perfectionist as other people in this thread are relentless in their criticism of her perfectionism. Gotta admire those traits, I guess.I asked the How question because I don't think we have any means of applying pressure. (rolling eyes) That was a theoretical question my friend, I accepted Nottravis for what she was years ago. I was just wondering if XaGnard might know some secret voodoo magic that could be used to pressure the developers.Well there is your answer then. There is no "how" for you. And there shouldn't be. I think most of the people here would agree with you, that a slight step down in quality would result in a much faster development time and most of us would not notice the difference. At the end of the day it is up to the dev to decide the level of quality they are willing to put out.
You need to remember that the dev is putting a lot of themselves out there. It is not an easy thing to create something and then release it to the public for criticism.
If I did not trust her, I would not support her. And no, I can't put pressure on her with that either. I once threatened her privately that if she continued to suspend payments, I would quit. She replied that she understood. (spoiler: I didn't quit.) I don't understand Notty, our way of thinking is very different, but I stand by her.And the only other way you'd have to pressure her would be dropping your support... which is pointless since she's barely taken any money in the last three years. It's a balance. Creators are hyper critical of their own work in ways that consumers will never see or even think of. Getting a creative work to 90% is usually good enough and sets a healthy cap on the obsessive perfection creators can struggle with. You're probably right. Use the report button on the OP to report it to F95 so the links can be refreshed. So, with nothing new to play, I thought I'd go back and download the older version, up to Chapter 4. However, only the Mega link works, and it won't download because it's too big, or some such nonsense... so I can't download it. Just letting the powers that be know the other links are all broken, and it would be nice to be able to download the older game.
