Just started playing this I am trying to follow the walkthrough. Under first free roam here is what it says:
(otherwise if you are on the Annie's event 1 path you will instead get this branching first) I will have respect on this ship (AnnieAff -1)/ Leave her to what she was doing / I was a bit of a dick earlier (AnnieAff +1)(AnnieRes +1) (picking 'I will have respect on this ship' unlocks event 2 for Annie) Ask about the refit / Ask about the mission / Dismiss her Berate her for the condition of the ship (AnnieAff -1)(AnnieRes +1)/ Ask about the mission / Dismiss her
I choose I will have respect on the ship. If I then ask about refit I have no oprions. If I first ask about mission, then I ask about refit I can sympathise. How do I get the berate option?

Thanks for trying out my game
I hope this doesn't come across as unhelpful, but I wouldn't play H5 with a walkthrough tbh. The problem with the one made is that it is based on an incomplete game and takes no account on how decisions and choices in the complete chapters One and Two impact in further chapters. Even sometimes minor decisions have, like in real life, ripple effects later. Putting aside some erroneous suppositions the walkthrough makes, given the amount of scenes that occur later (Chapter Three has eighteen main scenes all of which can vary hugely depending on previous decisions and conversations) I really would recommend just playing by your gut feel or how you wish to roleplay your MC. Using any walkthrough until the game is complete really just seems a bit pointless to me and could well end up misleading you as to the true direction of paths in the game.
But for the berate option, generally be a martinet from the get go. To get that conversation option you have to play as the type of officer who demands salutes, expects everything to be shiny etc.

Your point is noted, but I played Chapter 1 a few times and based on the recap I felt like i kept missing something. So hence...walkthrough. At any rate. I think I was. I went on Sarah's Submission route, and to do that I think you have to be a martinent no?Hi hi,

Thing is, in the first chapter (and the subsequent ones), you can't check all the boxes from the recap. Some paths are mutually exclusive. No, scratch that, some events are mutually exclusive, but you could still open the path later on, if I ain't mistaken.
So yeah, this isn't the kind of game where you can unlock everything in one playthrough, so just sit down, make your own choiced and enjoy the ride
Ps. Concerning Sarah submission path, you have to be a real jerk with her, and the option to blackmail her does appear. But I guess you found out already ^^ Now, what would happen if you've been acting like an asshole with other characters as well? Hmm...

In the Developer Notes of the OP you can see all the planned release dates onwards. It's just advisory, of course.
With that Sarah route, you should play in a position of authority, looking for weaknesses on her side. How you deal with Annie is largely irrelevant (for now).

thewingfan Also, that walkthrough is an interpretation of the code rather than being based on how the game actually plays, and as such it can be inaccurate or wrong (such as in the case of the option you mentioned).

Wow, that episode fell flat. From the same guy that wrote San Junipero - it's hard to conceive that this one was written after the other. Oh well, I guess sometimes writers get it right (San Junipero) and sometimes they don't (Striking Vipers).
I get the idea he was trying get across - the ideal lover would be your best friend in a body that fits your orientation. I guess I'm lucky that way, since I'm straight, my best friend is female, and we've been married for a whole lotta years now.
Honestly, though, with that setup I'd be going in solo as a female character and rubbing one out just to get an idea of what the female (multiple) orgasm (after orgasm, after orgasm) feels like from the inside. It's certainly fun to make it happen from the outside, but it has to feel different.

I just finished this release. I love it. The comm officer on the station is your sister and Chris makes a bet with you on who could bed her first. You "not knowing" it's your sister. Does that mean there will be potential incest content later?

I'm sure Notty will implement both options, though something tells me the "incest way" could turn very dark very fast.

keep in mind what is in Kelly's file... she blends in the background.... for a girl that pretty (because that's what she is if we put rank, personality and all aside) to go unnoticed she must be a trained ninja or something. what if... and keep in mind Notty likes to mess around with the tropes, Kelly is the one pursuing the MC and our brave lieutenant joined the army to escape the sister's pursuit?
Edit: and if you remember the preview for chapter 3 that Notty graciously shared with us, Kelly looked worried while punching the sandbag... almost as she was concerned with all the people buzzing around her sibiling
