Well I am not really a computer nerd, but since my even older 650 TI video card is starting to get problems and my old motherboard cant handle the new video cards with dual slots I have been looking into having a new computer build by a friend who is way more of a computer geek. It looks like that with the recent release of the new RTX super series by NVIDIA their RTX 2070 will be moving to a way more affordable price range. So it may be worth to have a look into that in a few weeks when prices have been adjusted a bit. Though will not be as beastly as the new super RTX 2080 will be if you can afford that and you might want to make sure your motherboard can handle them, it should blow away a 1060.

Yw, looking at the 1660 TI for myself, should cover my gaming needs for a while at the right budget, but if you want to make renders and such the new super RTX 2070 should be close to the RTX 2080 atm. For really trustworthy info, check with a computer geek close to home or someone like Philly games though. Pretty sure he did some serious research

Just don't do what I did, or at least plan it better:

• Buy new RAM to boost my PC
• Old motherboard not compatible
• Buy new motherboard
• Mix the processor socket (bought AM instead of Intel)
• Exchange motherboard
• Old processor incompatible with new motherboard
• Buy new processor
• ...
• Fuck it, mays as well buy a new graphic card now
• ???
• Profits

Original plan, upgrading my RAM from 8go to 32go. In the end: ~1000€ for an almost completely new PC \o/

I cannot advise enough that you check all your components compatibility before making a financial decision XD

I really like this one because of the heavy focus on the plot, sure i play some naughty games, but i tend to choose the ones that focus on the story like this one, and god what a full plate we have here in terms of story and replayability, the women are all great, the funny thing is that i tend to go after the "common" girls, but Chris has me under her thumb, the short haired woman with a short temper and a nice sense of humour,bissexual and married, triggerfinger, casted her spell on me on the very first day my LT stepped on that ship. As some of the guys know I wanted to make a game that could be played on several levels. In many ways you can play it as just the usual waifu-hunt type game, but buried underneath all of that is a lot lot more. Now, not everyone will be interested in the many plots and substories that are going on as you play - and that's cool, and I've tried to make it so that the game isn't dependant upon you getting involved in all of that. But if you are? There is a much richer game lying underneath.

As to Chris...she's, in my opinion, probs one of the more interesting gals, second only to Amanda I think. Both are very complex ladies...

Zero gravity sex is something I SO want someone to make in a game! I blame Mass Effect Andromeda for having it repeatable, but NEVER actually showing it!

Yeah that is exactly why I decided to have a new PC build. My current processor even if 9 yo is still better as many current processors unless you look at the above EUR 200 price range, but finding a current motherboard that it would fit on with enough internal memory and other things that changed in last 5 years would be a headache beyond belief. I just listened to the advice of my friendly neighborhood computer geek and started by looking at what kind of processor I wanted and let that be the starting point for the rest like motherboard and such.

Alright then! Here is my walkthrough!

• Covers every sexy render (if you argue that all Notty's renders are sexy, you're not wrong, but I'm not going to redo the bloody thing just to please you).
• Covers all the important choices for every major route of every girl. (Yes, Notty, I know missed a lot of them, but they don't need to know).
• Does not cover every bit of story, lore or jokes. Play the game, if you want to know more and laugh more.
• Chapter 3 included, don't look if you haven't played (ideally like 20 times and you just can't find one item in the summary).
• It is hopefully easier to follow then the old walkthrough. (Anyone who disagrees has the right to disagree, but no christmas presents from me)
• It is not based on the code and it doesn't contain stat changes. No peeking under the hood.
• No snarky remarks, suggestions to the dev, or any other inappropriate content.
• If you like the game, despite playing with a walkthrough, consider supporting Notty on her Patreon.
• I'll update this when Chapter Four comes and probably make an errata of what is no longer accurate (if it's less then 50% I'm satisfied.)

I liked a lot the part that you can tell Chris that you like her a lot or quite a lot or very lot, "too much lots to remember precisely" them move in to rescue the damsel not in distress, and shoot in some aliens in the process, i call that a successful first date\mission? , it's ok if instead of doing the repairs i am thinking on how to get rid of her husband? does that make me a bad LT?

Hmmm, regarding getting rid of Chris's hubby, I suddenly remember that Chris is actually quite righteous. She had a very good reason for what she did just before bootcamp, gets really pissed off when Kelly cheats during the fight, is quick to remind the MC and her crewmembers of army regulations and responsibilities (like after the drink with Annie). So unless her hubby does something that threatens/hurts/kills innocent people, she will NOT agree with the MC disposing of him.

So unless her hubby does become a threat, the only way to get rid of him would be to have Chris sign and turn in those divorce papers, before her husband wonders why she changed her mind and retracts his request and tries to get a better deal out of it.

The Scarlet Pirate was a welcome surprise in an already perfect chapter. Renders were great, we can see already the difference between your old and your new card, and the rubbish smut was engaging and sexy as hell, I thought. The only bad thing I'd say about the novel would be the font who might have been difficult to read on small/low res screens. I'd sure like to see more of it (and more of Heavy Five in its entirety, of course ) and I eagerly await to have a bottle of wine with Sarah

Nottravis If you can hold out a bit I suggest going for the 2080ti issue being with the 2070 is the 8 gigs of ram on it (i think). Now though i realize that is a huge price difference and the 2070 can be a stop gap for you. It would still be a massive difference. I havent looked at the full specs of the 2070 but i can say for a fact when i went from my 1060 to the 1080ti towards the end of DA it made a world of difference for me. As for a mobo u may be in the clear, hard to say but most even older ones shouldnt have an issue.

But you need to do the upgrade in steps so u dont put yourself in debt. Patreon is to risky to count on. So vid card first. After that then start looking at a full build of everything else. Make sure u get a good mobo when you do this. Something that supports 2 cards (anything more than that things get really pricey). Then u can utilize your old card as well. Also you may wanna look into a nice big case and get video cards that are blower models. Those are the ones with 1 fan that ejects heat out the back of the computer. They are hotter on their own but paired with other cards they are not. Also many have this weird concept that two cards = reduced performance. They are wrong, any performance decrease would only be due to heat forcing the cards to declock.

So TLDR. Vid card first. If you can only afford the 2070 thats fine go with it. Then a new system with a mobo that supports to cards. Use both your cards in that. Then when u are feeling ambitious upgrade that old card and give it to your mom or something

Hehe, yeah, reminds me of the last major hardware upgrade I did. It too me over 3 months to get it working because the motherboard needed the bios upgraded to work with my CPU, but I could not flash the bios without a CUP that worked with it...
Ended up having to send the MB back to the makers for them to flash it or me.

I just recently went from a really old AMD r9-290 card (so iRay rendering on CPU) to a completely new build computer with an RTX2070, and it was definitely worth it. It may not be perfect (but what card would be perfect incase of iRay?), but at least it reduced those 10-hour renders to 20-minute renders.
My long-term wish would still be to get a 2080ti and switch to Octane rendering though. But first I'll have to finish re-installing all those assets I collected over the years. Especially all those Renderosity things take a while to get sorted (I stupidly didn't make a backup of the My Library folder, so have to unzip and reinstall everything. On the other hand, this gives the opportunity for me to install those things in the correct folders this time)
