So off I went to download it.

I managed to cope with 10 minutes of playing an immature perv when I hit the ultimate WTF i've hit in gaming.

A girl tells the MC she likes him...

He looks at her....

Then pats her on the fucking shoulder and says thanks.

Then I read the most moronic internal monologue i've ever witnessed all the while the girl has the exact same look on her face that I do...... that look says "wut teh fook is this gimp talking about?"...

Then I decided i'd better stop playing because my shitMC'o'meter was about to break.

That'll teach me for being curious.

Haha, well, I recently got hired to proofread for it, and help out with a few other things. It's going through some changes, but it has a ways to go yet. The art impressed me, and I knew guys on the team, so I got involved. I don't do a lot of writing, but I do a lot of rewrites for them, trying to make French and Russian translations make sense in English.
Have to start over with the next update, when I beta test, I will try to go back over the beginning and see what I can fix.

I really liked that part just after it introduced all the characters when I shut it down to played something else.

So, because you have to read a visual novel and it doesn't fit the stereotypes (Asian playing video games, ditzy blond is the drinker, etc.), you hate it and it pisses you off?

No. My biggest complaint is that these characters are so dumb! Think about it. Their ship get to a planet and immediately starts malfunctioning. They get to the surface and find out the station is have the same kind of malfunctions. BOTH the station and ship are physically and software wise GOOD. They still waste time looking for a problem not thinking for a second that maybe something on the planet is having an affect on their electronics? REALLY??? Annie is supposed to be a conspiracy theorist and she doesn't have a stick up her ass about these highly unlike coincidences? So yea I'm pissed.

Well, taking it from someone who did tech support, you have to check the obvious things (basics) first. Yeah, it could be something ...or someone on the planet.

And it is not like it is the military where they have protocols and checklists to perform when something goes wrong...

Ya just blame it on "external forces" and move on.

You didn't like the game.... no crime in that. That is why there is chocolate and vanilla.... something for everybody. I am sure you will find something at F95 that is more to your liking, with realistic characters/plot... have you tried Summertime Saga?

However in this case there seems little point as neither the rating nor his comments make any actual sense (does his review even comply with the rules?)

Probs best all round if we just slap the ignore button on him (just did! ), get back to having fun and leave him to slink back to wherever he came. After all anyone who thinks this game is short probably can't have even played it that far now can he?

His review kind of makes no sense.

"Chapters are too short so 1-3 should be a single chapter, but he also says too much clicking and reading". It is a visual novel, my brain hurts.

You might be able to report the review since a portion of it isn't reviewing the game and instead telling the dev to make the game how they want.

I do wish he would look up logical fallacies, so he would understand how his "knowing the answer" doesn't mean he knows it at all.

1)game has too many lines to read... I assume you picked the faster option to get it over with....
2)it's too short... I wonder... if the girls don't like you, you're just given the basic story, no snooping around, no invites for drinks, no sparring offer and not Chris doesn't want a pet... but all of that is on you as all content is optional... considering that the game has multiple paths possible to reach a conclusion, it's a decent content to file size ratio..there's also the option of pissing someone off and that person won't talk to the MC
3) conspiracy theories and the malfunction of the vanguard... Actually both Chris and Annie tell you that something is wrong but since they don't know the MC, an outsider, they must trust you first...

Don't forget that it's marked as a visual novel and in the rules for new games that means "Visual novel: Focus on story, minimal choice:text ratio, vast majority of choices are dialogue based."
