Too kind as always :)
But I'd be more worried about the things Chris will do to you in Four tbh. *still aches if the weather is damp*

Edit: I seriously am thinking about having to put a warning up for that scene.
Considering the warning, ofc do that if you think that gating is not enough. Then it is really peoples own choice if they think they can handle it and can't.

Oh there is. Totes!

If you play down the "slacker" route, you can just have a good light hearted time really. It's only if you start poking around or taking your mission seriously that it starts to get darker.

It's one of the things I'm most proud of tbh. That the whole feel of the game can vary hugely depending on player choice. A good example I suppose would be Chris and Sarah perhaps. Do one playthrough being all professional and spending as much time as possible with Chris and then do another spending as much time as possible with Sarah.

Obvs I can't make everything different, but hopefully there is sufficient that the feel of the game changes. Certainly this becomes more so as the game goes on.
I just want to expand on this a bit if I may before I turn in.

I often use the phrase "your game..." and I mean it. By this I want -your- experience of H5 to be what you want it to be as much as possible. So yes, you get your orders and yes, you fly on the Vanguard etc. Those plot beats can't be ignored. But I also want your experience of the game to be tailored to the type of game you want to play.

You want a light hearted romp with silly jokes? Please step this way....
You want a darker, serious, story where you may end up with blood on your hands? Ah, that will be this table over here...
You just want a pure romance story? Over here please....

All in the same game.

Hugely, stupidly ambitious I know. And yet it's plotted out, structured and just needs me and and the hamster to get our shit together and make the bloody pictures for it...

I think because it's interactive. My expectation is that the player will be doing what Chris says y'know *did!* so...I dunno. I might have Becca say something at the start.

And quite a few will actually play all three of those games and quite likely a few more if you succeed in your goal, simply because some days we are in for a silly romp and the other day a bit more serious or blood or romance thirsty:p So we feel sorry for the hamster but wish him to keep running. I know I know, i am a cold hearted basterd:p

You don't know how easily I can be set off... More waterworks than Annie splashing in a fountain... wait.
Oooh! Good thinking! It may refer to the Chapter!
The five best women?
well you should like this song in that case:p

Ah yeah that is one scene I will unfortunately likely miss despite all your sacrifices.

Another one for Frap:
Me too, though I feel for the swollen notty bits...
Oh no, are you suggesting that by the end of the story, we'll hopefully be departing Ophion with 5 heavy girls?
Shit, I was going to make that joke, now I have to go back and change it.

*used to be able to roll ciggies one handed - concedes it was a loooooooong time ago tho!*
I used to roll a tin full for my mum before she went to bingo so she didn't have to stop dabbing (that's got a different meaning nowadays I'm told), she paid me 50p per tin! (y):D (it was a looooooong time ago)

This is the beauty of naming save pages, I can have my routes all neat like, then I can come back to one or the other depending on how fluffy or depraved I'm feeling that day ;)

lol, maybe you should get an icepack for that! I know a certain Welsh person who'd love to help you apply it! ;)

And that's I think one of the main reasons why people enjoy this game (certainly is for me). Having the ability to in some way determine what happens, even if as a player you have no idea what exactly it will be, really adds to the immersion, and for me, that's what I look for in a game. The characters are great, but the story, and a story that is dependent on play style is the most important part of a game that I'm interested in, and this game has it in spades. And the potential to have completely different stories, depending on play style, is the sign of a great writer and developer. I can't wait to see what's in store for each of my playthroughs.

Ambitious? Sure. Stupid? Not in the slightest.

*smiles softly* Thank you. That meant a lot to me :)

Getting the story, character reactions and peoples destiny's changing all based around what the player does is the "golden thread" of this game and I'm glad it's so warmly appreciated. I'm only sorry that my hardware and art skills are still lacking - but we're getting there!

And on that note, time for me to hit "render" on the batch run and turn in. Laters, guys.

Until you get 30+ pages per route... Then it's still pretty confusing... :ROFLMAO: :geek:

30? Pft, amateur! Come back to me when you hit 80+ ;) I might have saved at every choice on every route, I might also have lost track of some saves due to me not labelling the pages properly (it was before I knew about the ability to rename pages)

Well sweet dreams and like I keep saying, do not knock what you are already doing. It is quite remarkable already and hell what reason would you have to make a second and third game if you could no longer improve and have nothing to reach for? :D

It depends on the game, I have 10-20 pages for some plays here already, and some of them are only in chapter 1-2, though I have a better idea of which ones matter now than the first time I played. Though compare that to Harem Hotel, where I have only one playthrough, there are 100 saves per page, and I have almost filled page 19 now... And that is were I only save once per day if there are no major story events (where I also save at every choice).

...Hell, I have a few games, where I had to archive the save folder and start over.

Wouldn't be easier to unren the script and read the code? Seems simpler to me :D

Just on characters generally...

I think I've said this before but probs worth mentioning again. With my characters being more fleshed out and with greater depth than your average porn game characters there is an awful lot that neither you nor the MC know.

As the game progresses, you may well find out more about them - you may not. Your mileage may vary.

But I will promise you several things here and now.

1. My characters will -always- behave consistently to their own rules. Sometimes it may not seem like it, but that is just down to you not knowing everything.

2. I will try to mindfuck you with your own likely assumptions about them :) (a girl has to have her fun too, no?)

3. I will also toy mercilessly with you, for my own entertainment, in respect of getting you to like/dislike characters and then dropping some other knowledge or scene in which changes your opinion. (a girl has to have...oh, I did that one). BUT they will be behaving consistently.

In respect of some of the heavier more serious paths in H5 (and remember all paths are optional)

4. On some paths I will break your heart.

5. On some paths I will tempt you to make decisions which, if you make them, I doubt very much you'll tell anyone here you did...

Righties! More remastering for me! Laters :D
1, 2 and 3 were given, but I'm really eager for 4 and 5 :)

This is merely a distant echo of my comrades' voices, but... heart heart heart! And even more hearts!
I want all of it. I want light-hearted and darker and romance and funny and sad and the whole spectrum of human emotions that can only be reached while experiencing stories that are realer-than-life. I want you to take me to hell and back, and I'd be damned if I can't find my way back by myself!

But you know the best thing in all that? I know you will deliver! I have every trust in you.
