When i see that notification on patreon that there's a message from Notty there's a little part of me that still naively gets excited. It unfortunately gets stamped on each and every time.
That's not likely to happen, there are too many routes.we need walktrouth mod
Yeah, everything for chapter 5 is now with the playtesters, so once it's fully debugged 9which it should already be, but you know how it is) it's onto the final compression and then release. That's the jist of the update.Looks like there is a new update on Patreon as of yesterday
You are better off waiting for the next release, it'll include the remastered version up to CH5.Only the download links for 1st and 2nd chapter is there on the first page. How to play the 3rd chapter?
That’s all there is my friend. Don’t bother waiting around….last update was over a year ago…..remaster of remaster…..much delayed….over promised and under delivered.Only the download links for 1st and 2nd chapter is there on the first page. How to play the 3rd chapter?
No...to be fair...and accurate, I believe the last update was exactly a year ago, this month. ...with the next update planned/promised by December...which became January...then February then....That’s all there is my friend. Yes, like waiting for Star CitizenNo...to be fair...and accurate, I believe the last update was exactly a year ago, this month. ...with the next update planned/promised by December...which became January...then February then....
but I think you get the point by now.
This game should have been marked 'Abandoned' but it hasn't been. Just a year of hints that 'its almost ready' and nothing comes out...ever. It's been frustrating.
I am just curious, how much time should it pass for guys like you to say: "Hmm, maybe she should change her mind", another year? 5 years? 10? 20?Yes, like waiting for Star Citizen. Notty seems to be a perfectionist like Chris Roberts, having trouble with something just "Good enough". But its her game and as long as she pauses her patreon when she is not on schedule (what few other devs here do) we have little grounds to complain. And there are plenty of other games here to keep you occupied while you wait.
Waiting for someone else to create something is a pretty passive thing. Definitely would prefer faster development time, but it is not like we are not used to waiting for several years between seasons of TV shows these days, and that is a whole massive team instead of a single indie developer.I am just curious, how much time should it pass for guys like you to say: "Hmm, maybe she should change her mind", another year? 5 years? 10? 20?
Wow buddy, I just asked a question cause I thought even people like him (and you, now) have some kind of limit on their patience.Waiting for someone else to create something is a pretty passive thing. The stranger thing than someone who is consuming media they are a fan of waiting for it to come out patiently is the people who actively watch it just to make sure that it is not coming out so they can tell other people they are stupid for being patient about it. What do people gain from constantly letting everyone who is a fan know that they do not think it is worth waiting for?
Is it that important to you to be right about a game not being finished, a prediction that would be right more often than not anyway? It is not like you guys are out here correctly predicting the super bowl on day 1 of the season. Would you pat yourself on the back for predicting that it was going to snow in December?
Would you would rather be right about something that was always more likely than have people enjoy something? Especially considering the relentless negativity is not just pointlessly predicting a common occurrence, it actively makes dev less likely to want to work on their projects.
Well then to directly answer your question:Wow buddy, I just asked a question cause I thought even people like him (and you, now) have some kind of limit on their patience.
Well, if you think so then you need to understand that people, with time, will lose interest in the game, she already knows that she is taking too much time so if you add being less and less people around here (f95, forums, discord, whatever...) and more inactivity in general, to her personal frustration, it will take the game to this point we are now (frustration).Well then to directly answer your question:
I have nearly unlimited patience for creative people who are putting in a lot of work to create media that I like in their free time and with their own resources.
I have very little patience for people who are contributing nothing but like to crap all over those who are.
That is not directed at you specifically here, just in general for the many people in this thread and others who think being able to freely download someone else's work makes them entitled to constantly whine about devs for not producing fast enough whenever anyone mentions news on the project, or who are somehow pleased with themselves for pointing out delays that everyone is already well aware of if they are subscribed to this thread.
I'm don't really get why some people feel that others need to understand their predicted model of people getting frustrated and blah blah blah. Like, honestly, even if you're right, why do folks "need to understand that?" Your opinions and predictions aren't that vital, dude.Well, if you think so then you need to understand that (...)
The hilarious thing is that this post comes in response to another poster who explained, lucidly why they (and others who're waiting patiently for the game) dgaf about other peoples' doomerism. They also specifically said they weren't calling you out in particular, but of course you had to then make exactly the type of post JSimon was talking about. And, sorry to be the one to tell you friendo, but regarding your "prediction?" Right or wrong,My prediction is that (...)
As far as I am concerned: its not like I am standing in a queue an can't be somewhere else during the wait. And what would happen when my patience reaches the limit? Refusing to play the game when the next chapter is released? Would that be relevant?Wow buddy, I just asked a question cause I thought even people like him (and you, now) have some kind of limit on their patience.
My opinion and predictions stopped being so long time along, now they are facts that people here dont want to accept.I'm don't really get why some people feel that others need to understand their predicted model of people getting frustrated and blah blah blah. But thanks for sharing!
If you dont like it, you could talk to her personally if you are a patreon or on her forum that I think its free, idk.As far as I am concerned: its not like I am standing in a queue an can't be somewhere else during the wait. In my opinion "loosing patience" means that I am waiting on something I am entitled to have. But I don't have the feeling I am entitled to anything here, notty is not obliged to spent her time devloping a game for me. So my patience here is unlimited, if it gets released I am happy, if not its sad and thats it.
Funny that you mention the rules. Let's look at rule 2.7 " Avoid excessive discussion about development. Talking about developers is fine, but derailing the game discussion with multiple pages of the same arguments concerning development speed, delays, pricing, etc is not "Oh, and maybe I wrote that kind of prediction, hear me out, maybe... because this forum offer me the option to say what I want if its in their rules? Just like you telling me that no one cares about it, free speech is amazing dude.
