Well, each new AVN's chapter or update is basically defined by the number of its new renders and their visual quality.
With that in mind, when a Dev makes a remaster of a previous chapter(after another), it means a significant increase in that number or in visual quality or both, imho.
That's exactly what happened to HeavyFive in January 2020 with Chapter-1R and up to Chapter-3R.. It made the previous version look like a demo.
The R suffix remained for Chapter-4R even if it was completely new at that time to avoid any confusion.. Chapter-4R included all the previous chapters after all.

So, what's about the new RS chapters, one and two at this instant?
The RS suffix means Rebuilt and refreShed, imho.
Rebuilt and refreshed with the new polished GUI, a new PDA UI with new and more refined intel and also introducing text message with characters and a more exhaustive achievements panel per chapters(active path and also overall), new animations(with VA for the lewds ones), new tweaks for some gameplay, new refreshed writings, new ambient sounds, etc..

No significant increase in render's number or visual quality even if they have been converted to webp, and a few renders were redone tho.. The length and visual quality of the animations is completely something else, also.
The RS version can't be considered as another remaster version, imho.

And the old saves from Chapter-4R should still be compatible with the new incoming Chapter-5(RS), anyone of them prior to Becca's debriefing...

All this work on Chapter-1RS through -4RS has been made with her Patreon on pause, I should point out.

Wasn't this suppose to be updated in the beginning of the year?
I see you're a new member. To answer your question, yes it was.

It was supposed to have a new release of December last year, but then had a 'slight temporary delay' and would be updated in late January or early February. The last release was last August I believe.

After reading the latest patreon post provided by I'm Not Thea Lundgren! ,(to whom I am grateful) it appears the Dev continues to 'run into difficulties' and have issues with the game and has spent time reviewing AI and other things.

As a long time admirer of what little the Dev's produced (very high quality but barely starting the story and multiple
rewrites and 're-masters') I observe the Dev has an extreme difficulty with 'letting go' of any updates to the game, to the frustration of many here.

IMHO, do not expect an update any time soon, not prior to October, optimistically. Pessimistically, December or later.

When i see that notification on patreon that there's a message from Notty there's a little part of me that still naively gets excited. It unfortunately gets stamped on each and every time.

That’s all there is my friend. Don’t bother waiting around….last update was over a year ago…..remaster of remaster…..much delayed….over promised and under delivered.
No...to be fair...and accurate, I believe the last update was exactly a year ago, this month. ...with the next update planned/promised by December...which became January...then February then....

but I think you get the point by now.

This game should have been marked 'Abandoned' but it hasn't been. Just a year of hints that 'its almost ready' and nothing comes out...ever. It's been frustrating.

Yes, like waiting for Star Citizen :). Notty seems to be a perfectionist like Chris Roberts, having trouble with something just "Good enough". But its her game and as long as she pauses her patreon when she is not on schedule (what few other devs here do) we have little grounds to complain. And there are plenty of other games here to keep you occupied while you wait.

I am just curious, how much time should it pass for guys like you to say: "Hmm, maybe she should change her mind", another year? 5 years? 10? 20?

Waiting for someone else to create something is a pretty passive thing. Definitely would prefer faster development time, but it is not like we are not used to waiting for several years between seasons of TV shows these days, and that is a whole massive team instead of a single indie developer.

The stranger thing than someone who is consuming media they are a fan of waiting for it to come out patiently is the people who actively watch it just to make sure that it is not coming out so they can tell other people they are stupid for being patient about it. What do people gain from constantly letting everyone who is a fan know that they do not think it is worth waiting for?

Is it that important to you to be right about a game not being finished, a prediction that would be right more often than not anyway? It is not like you guys are out here correctly predicting the super bowl on day 1 of the season. Would you pat yourself on the back for predicting that it was going to snow in December?

Would you would rather be right about something that was always more likely than have people enjoy something? Especially considering the relentless negativity is not just pointlessly predicting a common occurrence, it actively makes dev less likely to want to work on their projects.

Wow buddy, I just asked a question cause I thought even people like him (and you, now) have some kind of limit on their patience.

Well then to directly answer your question:

I have nearly unlimited patience for creative people who are putting in a lot of work to create media that I like in their free time and with their own resources.

I have very little patience for people who are contributing nothing but like to crap all over those who are.

That is not directed at you specifically here, just in general for the many people in this thread and others who think being able to freely download someone else's work makes them entitled to constantly whine about devs for not producing fast enough whenever anyone mentions news on the project, or who are somehow pleased with themselves for pointing out delays that everyone is already well aware of if they are subscribed to this thread.
