I reported it as a bug on their website. As soon as an NPC's birthday comes by, the age thing goes all whacked. I'm not sure what they changed over the early 1.10 betas but it did not work that way before.

You can always "make" your own mods and mod in the content you want.
I have issues in the early game regarding the pickpocket. I don't start with a newspaper in my inventory.
But I need the newspaper to read about the pickpocket and trigger his event.
The event allows me to lockpick/break into ppls houses :3
But without the newspaper and without having read about the pickpocket, I can't trigger the event.
That and probably can't trigger the event for the missing girl.

If your asking about the newspaper then go have a meal at the restaurant and keep it to take home.

Besides the restaurant, I think latest release has a fallback that gives you the newspaper if you haven't gotten it by about 2--3 game weeks.
Still have to read the articles.

Any tips on how to get the Mad Scientist thing to trigger? I keep trying to go into the lab when school is in session in the morning, but nothing so far.

Is there any way to unpierce nipples? I can find how to change the size, but not how to get rid of the nipple rings. Thanks!

Never looked but if you can get into there inventory you may be able to remove them, like I said I never looked if they have them in inventory or not.
I think they are part of ex-slave uniform and some teachers get them in BDSM uniform set.
@BobN290 - change clothing rules for teachers and tell slave to use regular uniform. If your slave is already running only with nipple rings, her regular "uniform" will be the same only without those rings. It is highly likely that your school can advance into bondage faster than town's folk and you won't be able to sustain BDSM school with such town.
