What really fucking pissed me off is the HOW the whole Carter-part of the story happens:
1- Carter was sus at work, MC hears a phone-call which makes MC SUPER SUS(and promises to himself to record any similar conversations)
2- At the mall, MC discovers Carter and his "pals" instead of recording everything, decides to step in, get beaten, Carter confesses EVERYTHING(including the names of his accomplices) MC still doesn't record a thing and Carter presents a stupid plan that has no realistic chances to work(because if blackmailing-sex is your kink, i doubt you'll quit, because for example i like the romance-tag, and i steer clear from UNavoidable NTR and Humiliation, along with Scat, Piss and Vore tags, because i've my preferences, deal with it, i may try to play something that i dislike, out of curiosity but never out of pleasure)
3- in the new update we have Carter flexing about his group "We have money(/can bribe their way out), we can hack stuff, aaand i know your parents are still alive, you may want to get along if don't want something to happen to them(yep classic implied threat about harming family, friends and ruin your life in any way possible) and we have several more backup plans..." turning Carter&Co. into an undefeatable enemy(classic NTR where the MC can't do anything but watch his loved one being fucked by the villain) but in the most idiotic way possible, because what if NOT EVERYONE is up to be bribed? What if MC goes to the FBI or State-police or find a police station that doesn't accept bribes...you know that trying to bribe a cop is also a crime? That will be added to the list of Carter&Co's crimes...
IN REAL LIFE we have people being ruined by an accusation of rape, even when such rape never happened but the "victim" was mad at the "culprit" for whatever reason but Carter's first "protection" against jails is "we chose targets that are quiet, introverted and would never confess a thing" <- REALLY?! NEVER HEARD OF "BREAKING POINT"?! It's a "phenomenon" where a person after suffering for too long does something very extreme, usually unpredictable, everything will be possible in this situation, from actually confessing everything to the police to suicide or killing whoever is making them suffer, or planning a trap or anything really. What are the chances that someone quiet will stay quiet after being in such a miserable situation? And Carter&Friends are doing that for 2 years? Like what? They're expanding the "business", they need a new victim every once in a while? I mean if they get off from blackmailing-sex, they need like what? 2–3 victims each(for variety)? Or they're such bulls that they need a big harem, and so they fuck all day long? Seriously, they're doing it for 2 years...what happens to the victim when they get bored with them? Also Carter wants Sola's compromising pictures...MC can suggest to deepfake them, but Carter says that it's hard...you can nitpick that hacking is different from making art...but he could always take a normal picture of Sola and start from there...also Carter's plan to save Sola is...getting those compromising pictures and HOPE that his pals will lose interest in Sola...but meanwhile they would still have those pictures, she would still be at risk of being blackmailed, maybe for some other reason, i mean you can blackmail someone into forcing them to do ANYTHING, not just sex! Like bringing Evelyn somewhere and let her be raped(just to make an example).
Talking about Evelyn, dear childhood friend of MC, who has relationship problems and she is coping by delving into Alcoholism(and in this update with an occasional fuck with MC), she whines constantly about her boyfriend, but the second MC tries to tell the truth about Carter...not even a hint of doubt? This is the classic trap of "If you tell her, she won't believe you(and possibly threw her in the arms of the villains), and if you don't tell her, but she learns about it on her own, she'll be mad for not telling her and possibly suspect, even for a second, that MC is also one of Carter's accomplices because otherwise why wouldn't he tell her?" seriously, your friend(MC) is distressed since you saw him this morning, he tells you something very weird with a panicked facial expression(in theory...because graphically he looked just weird, but Sola's horny face is also Sola's sleepy face XD so don't take facial expressions too seriously XD), and you don't even try to reason with him by granting the benefit of the doubt?! With friends like these, who needs enemies?! IF MC will "defeat" Carter&Co. won't be because his own abilities and qualities, but the dev pulling a deus ex machina or something and allowing MC to win, because (FOR NOW) Carter&Co. are presented like an undefeatable enemy(even though we already talked about how flawed and pathetic these reasons are, clearly this was not though through)
I won't go through the dev text-wall post...that felt like watching someone wanting to kill themselves and they decided to shot themselves in the face with a nuclear bomb
