After looking at OP I'm assuming version 0.8 is separate from previous release chapter 1-3, or is that an incorrect assumption? It isn't made clear in OP if this is the case. Can we download just the ver 0.8 and start from beginning of game?

Yea. Thats the problem most of the time and it can by fixed by changing the script_version.txt. But 7.0.0 is too old of a version for Joiplay to run it

need to play 1-3 1st and hope that game doesn't bug and then 0.8 and again hope that game doesn't do shit.

how do i get more gym tickets? ross doesnt sell anymore after the 10, and the console isnt giving me any (give me the command and ill try that maybe i typing wrong) legit soft locked rn

For the gym tickets, you have to adjust it with a Save Editor. Just make sure you do it while you still have some in inventory.
