Because instead of translating a variable such as //n[5] it translates an actual name which it has way less trouble with.

You can see it sometimes with Monster names in this game. Sometimes it fails to format that variable properly and you end up with like n[1] in the text or something.

Also the alphanumeric symbols in the custom name characters use a different font so it looks weird. Haven't figured out how to fix that.

And yes GPT is much better than DeepL when done properly.

Do you mean when you choose the name like "Anon" and it displays as "A n o n" for some reason? I personally don't mind it but yeah it'd be better if the spacing didn't happen. I've noticed it's commonplace in some translated VNs and games that sometimes the letters will have an oddly large amount of space between the characters.

Yes exactly. I tried numerous thing to get around it but that spacing issue was something I couldn't figure out.

Still in this specific game you can still name your Monsters. I left it in just to kinda see how it would perform. Ultimately had to fix a ton of variables because of it.

It happens in battle so he sees most of it. But there are H events where the MC isn't aware.

Does naming monsters result in the spacing issue too? Maybe someone on ULMF or whatever the site is called can help you figure out how to fix the spacing issue. I remember playing shrift which is fan translated on that website and that game doesn't have the issue with spacing between the custom protagonist name as far as I remember.

Kinda, it is a corruption NTR game. But there aren't any free-roam events where you can catch the girls in the act. It's more of a daily trainer and the corruption happens in battles at tournaments or in the field.
