Well, that was an impressive waste of 9GB of space.
The problem lies in the roots of the game. I have seen soo many people here praising this game for having X amount of animation, and oh my god they added that much animations in one update. But it is just a renpy game, where creator boot up
Koikatsu, set up scene (which takes 5 minute to do if you know what you doing), and selected animation to play, than pressed the record button on OBS. This is it. If i want to play koikatsu i would run koikatsu. And if you want to add some kinda busy work between animations, Koikatsu studio is just a diorama, you can imagine anything between animations, you can place any scenarios, and if you want to add some kinda busy work between animations, you can pull out a goddamn d20 and play DnD between animations, or if you into something more of a rough kinda of play, play GURPS, imagination is your celing.
Of course they can add hundreds of animation per update, if it is just an animations from the already existing Koikatsu. Even most of backdrops you see in the game is taken from the already existing locations in modded koikatsu studio.
Of course usual excuse can be said that it just a version 0.1.2 or wtv. I agree, problems like boring minigames, lack of depth of the currently present content can be fixed by patches. But undermining problem of this being just a collection of animations from koikatsu can't be fixed overnight. It just a Koikatsu, with busy work between animations, and Jimmy, damn that game needs more Jimmy.

Casually, The least I add are lewd scenes or animations.
I've never seen someone speak highly of the game thanks to x animations being added. Because as I said,
the game lacks of H scenes. So, it's weird for me when you say "I have seen so many people here praising the game for having X amount of animation, and oh my god they added that much animations in one update."

27 lewd scenes right now.
And yes, it's true. Animations are done pretty quickly. You can probably add a 2-minute scene in 3 or 4 hours because you can use the default koikatsu animations. So if you wanted to see koikatsu animations, you can just open koikatsu and play there.
What you won't find in Koikatsu it's a Ren'py game that is trying hard to look like a normal game and not like a regular Ren'py game out there, a polished game, an attempt to make a good story, with its characters and its world, changing image like 2 dialogues to give a more "anime" or "movie" feeling, instead of just a normal VN. A game that wants to be fun and interesting to play,
with Koikatsu characters. Maybe right now it's not achieving any of these points, but I will try hard to make that happen.
The Koikatsu animations are made taking render by render, frame by frame, and then making a webm video from every frame. Not just clicking on Record in the OBS and then fuck it. And if I play some league matches while taking the renders, whenever I finish, I have to code the event, write the dialogue, add the gallery scene and then continue with the others "hundreds" of animations I add every update. So, playing league is a waste of time, don't you think?
Try it, it's extremely easy to make a game, you can play DnD while doing it.
And thanks to Koikatsu I'm able to do this. I'm extremely horrible at drawing, and I didn't have money to pay for someone to make characters, drawings, backgrounds and etc. So, if people are enjoying it... I don't think there's a problem, right?
In the end, if they want to see a collection of Koikatsu animations, they can just play Koikatsu.
