Been too long since I last played, but I think there was (or should be) some sound effect along the glitch - so if you're playing with audio you would be able to tell the fake glitches from the real ones apart?

And after 3 or 4 glitches, then you have to search for the source of the problem if you want to continue that "side story". So, if you're not fan of scary and weird stuff, you can miss it easily.

After this, you won't find any other glitch out there.

I don't think a warning should take place, at least for now, because I don't want people to think that the game is some sort of doki doki or some weird "haha plot twist here you have a dark side" game.
Some "Warning; There are some screen glitches troughtout the game." is pretty fishy for some people to just not play it.

What I'm going to do, probably, is putting some specific requirements before you could actually see the glitches. So at least the player knows what he's doing!

There's an event implemented, yes.
Try to remember where did you get most of the glitches, try to see maybe who was there. And maybe ask her.
Then, depends if you're curious enough to roam at midnight!

1) If Komisari doesn't release anything in the entire year ahead (it's only just turned 2022) I would like to say the future of this game would be bleak. So yeah, "somewhere this year" seems perfectly reasonable. Personally I hope sooner rather than later. I'm all for quality over quantity, but you need to have at least more than zero for the latter to be able to have the former at all.

2) Komisari uses assets from a different game, which is hugely popular by porn game makers, especially games of this style. I've played multiple games with the same bathroom, living room, etc as seen in this game. I think it's all from a game called Koikatsu (but I'm not sure about that). I've always wondered about the legality of this myself, since some games have patreons so they obviously make money using other people's assets.

More than once Komisari has said that this update will be bigger than the previous one, so I'm sure that it will be worth the wait. Sure it's hard to wait so long for an update of a game that you like so much, but if you think about it like a film saga you know that you have to wait at least a year to see the second part of a trilogy...so...it's ok. Now we only have to wait and hope that this game will continue to be great (and I'm sure it will).

For the Patreon thing, I don't know how it works and I'm interested in it because I want to start my own game in this 2022 using Koikatsu and Ren'Py as well. I think that if you give your game for free, using Patreon only for letting people to support your work if they want (offering rewards connected to the game), you can solve the "legal problem" because you're not making money with the game directly, but only because of people who want to reward you for your work spontaneously.

But I'm not sure about this. I hope that Komisari itself can answer that question soon or later because like I said, I hope to start developing my own project this year and, yeah, I know I have to use others creations for the game setting (not the characters, but things like houses, streets, cities) and the game music. So...if anyone knows more about all this, please knock it down!

But, we have been waiting for more than a year now, and until something is released, it's all promises. Games that are abandoned are mostly either bad planning, or something unforeseen happening. With Komisari I cannot know the first, but the second could happen to anyone. If that were to happen, and the game would be abandoned all of a sudden, you have been waiting for nothing.

Again, I am looking forward to the update, but the wait cannot be justified until we receive an update. Until that time, it's all limbo.

Illusion holds copyrights over their assets and the creators hold some limited co-authorship over the designs made with the tool (this is an express limitation imposed by the copyright law; see the "derivative works" section).

Could Illusion send you a DMCA notice, or a "cease and desist"? Yes they could.
Anyone whom you took the designs from can as well. (Some have even done so, just check Corrupted Kingdoms 0.6.9 -> 0.7.0 release notes)

But Illusion itself has never done so, so it is in overall safe.

Be mindful to the terms of use (and EULA) included on the software, as if it lacks the "no waiver" clause, then in some jurisdictions they have a time limit (e.g. 5 years) to exercise the right and failure to do so can be interpreted as a waiver from said right under the grounds of expectations that what has been will continue to be and good faith. (Which is an additional safety if they do decide to sue, which as I mentioned previously, is yet to happen).

Technically, though, you can still be sued if you use Koikatsu without purchasing the Steam license... which is true to any cracked game in this forums so I would not personally worry about it but some courts thinks it is different because you received money related to it (and no one shall benefit from their deliberate misdeeds), and in such case, for the ease of your mind, you may want to purchase the official software once you're able to. (Mostly to support the company, which is looked favorably everywhere, including here, and because you're a good person acting in good faith).
