Open game console and runIt will depend a lot on how much stuff you want to get aside from leveling the girls, e. g. catching legendary fishes (matter of taste) or unlocking the Jimmy headpat (strongly recommended). I am bad at judging playtime but for all intents and purposes it already has the volume of some finished games and easily goes into the double digits.

Hero's Harem Guild is meant to be a game with roughly 50/60 hours of STORY content (And I believe that's too freaking much and I will try to lower it down), divided into 4 or 5 chapters of 8/10 hours each, counting the prologue. So, this requires a lot of advance planning to meet the desired hours and show to the players the story I want to tell in that "deadline" of hours.
I belive that most players gets tired of clicking during 50/60 hours and seeing only dialogues and images, that's why the gameplay and free or sandbox elements have a big role BETWEEN the story events. It makes the player do different stuff during the game, and not getting burned by millions of images and dialogues every time.
In short, both the GAMEPLAY and the STORY/EVENTS requires a lot of anticipation and they need A LOT OF WORK to have the best possible quality in the 50/60 hrs of game.

For sake of reference, I spent about 14 hours, Komisari made an estimation of 8~10 hours, and well, some will take more or less depending on optional content they are willing to do.

Talking about animation and assets and etc; I said a couple of times that HHG support exceeded my expectations, that's why I wanted to exceed the expectations of people and take this game not as a typical "Koikatsu game", but as a real game when it comes to developing it. (I understand this is not a unity game or something like that, but I'm trying to add my own stuff and I try to have more... "control" on the content I add.)Komisari just has keep up and increase traction/momentum after essentially remaking and expanded the early game over the past year and a half. That's not even including the rest of the game that still has to be made and hopefully kept to the same level of polish. Long waits after long waits with fluctuating quality is how community good will is undone, and it's been seen time and time again, which is a lot of stress.
Though with a 70,000-90,000 yearly income (not taking into account the patreon tax, or government taxes,) putting out good updates and at a decent click shouldn't be much to worry about given everything else should be taken care of. That's really damn good for a game that doesn't require timely and costly custom made assets, rigs, skeletons, or workflow databases. It's been a while since I last played and I might be wrong about there not being any custom songs, but music and sound effect libraries are also pretty expensive to make, so chalk that up there too.
There's worse milkers and non-milkers out there though. The two biggest ones here are more than triple that number and don't even try to promise half as much content, let alone showing even a bit of progress.

But, for example, in Chapter 1 there are ONLY custom sex animations and animations. No Koikatsu self-animated stuff.

Also, I tried to expand my knowledge of 3D stuff. I can't say I create my own 3D assets and import them to Koikatsu (Because that would take a hell of a lot of time to learn and have a proper base), but I buy them!
I buy and heavy-modify a lot of 3D assets and add them in Koikatsu to add a little bit of depth in terms of items and etc. Weapons, accessories, etc.
For example, the Shield of the Hero in Chapter 1 is changed for a better version;

I'm just trying to exceed the expectations as the supporters did with my project. Maybe I'm trying too much, but I don't care. Once the update is out you'll all judge it by yourselves!
Also, I'm a little bit tired about the deadline thingy, so I'm gonna say this;
In a normal job, you get a deadline but ONLY ONE JOB. Hey, we need this pack of animations before x. Hey, we need this system working before x. Hey, we need these characters model done before x. You, having experience in those areas, have a perfect idea of how much an animation will take for you to make, depending on the complexity.
But believe me, nobody would have a deadline for a; "Hey, make a game." (And when they do, they have different people on different areas.)
I'm new at animation, I'm new at 3D stuff, I'm new at environment design and etc. I'm trying my best to make the best quality possible and learn as fast as possible to try to make this update as good as possible and as fast as possible. Do I have an idea how much it will gonna take? No. Nobody has an idea. There are days when I say; "Okay, In this part of the game is a little bit laggy, I have to optimize this" and takes me 3 complete days. Or just "Okay, I'm gonna make this epic cool event I wanna make, It'll take me 1 or 2 days" and it takes an entire week. And I'm not even counting animations, those mf are the most difficult to make xD, but I'm learning so it's taking less and less time every time.
The update will go out as soon as possible but will do it whenever it's ready. There's no other way to say it, and of course, I would like to post the update right now, but it's not done, there's nothing I can do against that... but work on it.

It's the normal Koikatsu skeleton, the toes and feet bone movement are accessible via... not normal ways xDDamn, that looks amazing. I only ask because another Koikatsu game attempted such a thing with a fairy girl but the animation just looked like the penis was phasing into the space between her vagina and anus. (presumably because the baseline program didn't know what to do with that size difference)but gives a lot of control in scenes and creates really curious events.
YES! It's definitely possible! Playing with the belly scale and reducing (making invisible) the top part of the penis when it enters the vagina it's completely possible.
