TBH, I don't think I've ever seen such a civilised discussion as it's been going here, outside of a few people that barely get reactions to what they are saying. There are rarely any toxic trolls discussing it. Most people that post something about the long wait time do so with good arguments and in a patient style, using words like "I think" and "It seems to me".
I agree with all you said about the effort it takes to create a game, but there are people that will still not like the wait. It's a completely different development style than a lot of (single) devs have, so it's okay that there are people that disagree with that style, and it's okay that they voice that opinion here. It's the opposite of toxic, it's a dialogue.
Using words as strongly as you did (underlined) is not helpful to a dialogue in my opinion, and would be one of the first real instances of coming close to toxicity in this thread in my opinion.
This thread is laden with people sharing how much work Komisari is doing, so I think his effort is well-documented. How much game there actually is, and whether it will have been worth the wait, is for anyone to decide when it comes out, and up until then may be speculated upon.
